DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Hiscox CEO Masojada Books GBP1.4 Million
LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Tuesday.
FTSE 250-listed Hiscox said Chief Executive Officer Bronek Masojada sold GBP1.4 million worth of shares in the insurer.
Jane Masojada, wife of Bronek Masojada, sold 100,000 shares at 1,444.00 pence each last Thursday.
The company also said Chief Underwriting Officer Richard Watson sold 50,000 shares on Friday, at a price of 1449.97p per share.
The stock closed up 1.0% on Tuesday at 1,486.79 pence.
Essentra Chief Executive Paul Forman purchased GBP100,508 worth of shares on Tuesday. His holding in the plastic products maker after the purchase of 20,000 shares at 502.54 pence each was not disclosed. Shares in Essentra ended up 1.5% on Tuesday at 502.08 pence.
FTSE 250-listed Ultra Electronics Holding said two of its board members bought shares in wake of the defence contractor's profit warning. Non-Executive Director John Hirst bought 2,055 shares at a price of 1,204 pence per share and Finance Director Amitabh Sharma bought 823 shares at the same price Tuesday. On Monday around GBP198 million was wiped off Ultra's total market value after it said it expects profit and revenue to both fall in 2017. The company also announced the departure of Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma. The stock closed down 2.3% on Tuesday at 1,202.23 pence.
Midcap Galliford Try said Chairman Peter Ventress bought 6,324 shares at a price of 1,179.67 pence per share Monday. Galliford Try said on Friday it experienced good market conditions across its three businesses in the first months of its financial year ending June 30, 2018. Shares in the housebuilding and construction group ended down 0.3% on Tuesday at 1,168.01 pence.
Kerry Gold Independent Non-Executive Hugh Brady purchased 500 shares for EUR43,074. Brady purchased 300 shares at EUR85.44 cents per share on Friday and 200 shares at EUR87.21 cents per share on Tuesday. Brady's total holding in the company following the transactions were not disclosed. Shares in Kerry Group closed up 0.8% at 86.63 pence on Tuesday.
One of the directors of Value & Income Trust has raised his holding by 300,000 shares through the AIL Pension Scheme that he is a beneficiary of. Matthew Oakeshott's stake has increased after the pension scheme bought 300,000 shares on Tuesday at an average price of 274.95 pence each, or a total of GBP824,850. His holding after the purchase was not disclosed. The trust ended Tuesday 0.2% higher at 274.50 pence.
REDX Pharma Chairman Iain Ross bought 348,000 shares at a price of 18.036 pence per share on Tuesday. The purchase is his only holding after being appointed in April. The stock ended 11% higher on Tuesday at 19.70 pence, with shares resuming trading on Monday following suspension.
Learning Technologies Group said Non-Executive Director Harry Hill bought 10,000 shares at a price of 57.9 pence each Monday. Following this transaction, Hill holds 2.2 million shares, which represents a 0.39% stake in the firm. Shares in the e-learning company ended down 0.4% on Tuesday.
Bankers Investment Trust Non-Executive Director Isobel Sharp bought 2,300 shares at a price of 862.60 pence per share Tuesday. The purchase is her only holding after joining the company in October. The stock closed down 0.2% on Tuesday at 859.55 pence.
