Morgan Sindall Wins GBP250 Million Contract From UK Defence Ministry
LONDON (Alliance News) - Morgan Sindall Group PLC said Monday that its Partnership Homes division, Lovell, has won a contract worth up to GBP250 million from the UK Ministry of Defence.
Under the contract, the regeneration and construction group will build 917 homes in Bulford, Larkhill and Ludgershall in Wiltshire, England, by May 2020, for troops and their families relocating from Germany.
Work had already started in spring 2017 with the creation of new roads and infrastructure critical to the project, and housing construction is expected to start in early 2018.
"We are delighted to have been awarded this contract with the MOD [Ministry of Defence]. It is a testament to the strong partnership Lovell has built with the MOD and our track record of delivering high quality housing projects at pace. Our focus now is on delivering best in class homes for the troops and their families," said Chief Executive John Morgan.
Shares in Morgan Sindall were unchanged at 1,396.00 pence in early trade.
