The Human Screen with Richard Beddard
Inspired by stories of Warren Buffett dredging through the Moody's Manual starting at the companies with names beginning with 'A' and finishing at 'Z', value investor Richard Beddard has decided to abandon traditional screening and tackle the whole market in date order for his Thrifty 30* portfolio.
Over the course of a year he will try to look at every company in the stockmarket as soon as they have published their full-year results.
For a full explanation of why Richard is screening the market himself see: Introduding the Human Screen, and for more details about how the Human Screen operates see: Evolving the Human Screen.
*Richard runs a mechanical Nifty Thrifty portfolio for Money Observer Magazine, which blindly follows a screen. The outcome of the battle between the Nifty Thrifty and the Thirfty 30 portfolios in the long term will decide whether he has any skill as an active investor, or whether he should just let the computer grind out its soulless predictions.
