yes CCS - almost certainly profit-taking, but the question is why are people profit-taking MKS on a day the market as a whole is rising? Probably they feel MKS had, at over £3.60, risen too far and too fast, and the likely new direction is South. It doesn't say much for Rose's achievements, does it? I think you're right that the J P Morgan downgrade won't make any difference. The other market operators can see what a pig's ear Rose has made of things without any help from J P.

As i said after two weeks of near constant rises in the sp, a 5p drop is not really of any significance. I certainly would not call it a "sudden fall"....

It's probably dropped because a large number of people suddenly realised that the recent rise was based on nothing more than wishful thinking. The company continues to drift under its current failed leadership and nobody knows whether Bolland will be any better. Of course, many people think he is the white knight who will restore M&S to its rightful throne as Britain's favourite retailer ... but nobody knows. And look what happened to Britain's favourite airline. And its favourite chocolate maker. There is a reasonable chance that M&S will end in the same knacker's yard, Bolland or no Bolland, so don't be surprised if you see the sp drop from time to time.
