Investor Leaderboard

A unique opportunity to learn and compare strategies

Interactive Investor offers its users the option to view and share their fund portfolios with other members of the community in a totally anonymous environment. You can also view other people's investments and see what makes their portfolios tick and discuss matters on our 'Investment Strategies' discussion board.

You can see how investments are doing as our systems compare all opted-in users' portfolio growth each month and rank their performance. There's scope for friendly rivalry, but when you're running your own investments it's useful to see how successful you are when measured against other 'real' investors. (Available shortly. You will need to opt in to this facility when you open an Account).

How does it work?

First of all, we'll ask you to opt in to the programme when you set up your account with us. The Investor Leaderboard is only open to real portfolios, not virtual portfolios and you will be asked to register during the sign up process. It's all online.

We identify each portfolio by a 'nickname' that you assign yourself, rather like in the bulletin boards on other areas of the site. The privacy of your identity is assured, as long as you choose a nickname that's NOT your real name!

What will other people see when they view my portfolio?

We will only show your holdings and the growth attributed to those holdings over the past month in percentage terms. We will never show the actual amounts of money within your portfolio or cash balances.

It's as simple as that. Because this is a new idea, it might take a while to build a large base of participants,  but we hope you appreciate that this is a facility for you to learn from - and interact with - your peer group.
