AEA Technology plc ('AEA') announces Board Changes
Dr Paul Golby is to become the new non-executive Chairman at AEA, a leading climate change and energy consultancy, taking over from Dr Bernie Bulkin, who is stepping down from the Board today.
Dr Leslie Atkinson is also stepping down today as a non-executive director having completed 13 years in that role with the Group. Rodney Westhead will now become the Senior Independent Director.
These changes take place with immediate effect.
Dr Golby has been a non-executive director at AEA since 2003, he has chaired the Remuneration Committee and has been a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees.
Commenting Paul Golby said, Bernie and Les have been considering changing their roles for some time. Bernie has been Chairman since 2005 and during that period has helped to steer AEA successfully through significant change while Les has served 13 years as a non-executive.
Both Bernie and Les have played pivotal roles in the Group's transition to a focused climate change and energy consultancy and we appreciate their significant contribution, work and wise counsel.
For my part, I am delighted to take up the role as Chairman, and look forward to continuing to help AEA in it's next phase of development, as it extends activities, particularly in the fast-growing US market, based on strong demand for its core climate change and energy consultancy skills.
AEA plans to appoint replacement non-executive directors in due course.
