Feb 7, 2012 Toshiba's AT200 tablet, which the company claims is the world's thinnest 10-inch tablet, is now available in UK retailers. Carphone Warehouse is already selling the new device, which as well as boasting a super-thin 7.7mm profile sports a neat-looking brushed aluminium body and is loaded with Google's Android Honeycomb operating system. The 10-inch LED backlit touchscreen display clocks a 1280x800 pixel resolution while processing power comes from a 1.2GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 backed up by 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit (GPU). Internal storage comes in 16GB or 32GB flavours and this can be expanded by microSD cards up to an additional 32GB.There's also Wi-Fi, Micro USB and an HDMI output. The AT200 features both a 5-megapixel primary capable of 720p video capture and a front-facing 2-megapixel secondary for video calls. Toshiba's new tablet is sure to hit other vendors over time but for now you can get it through the Carphone Warehouse's website where a 16GB model will cost you £399, while the bigger 32GB variant will set you back £449. Carphone Warehouse will be stocking the tablet in its high-street stores from February 15. |
