JSJS Designs plc ("JSJS" or "the Company"), the provider of innovative home automation technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Hughes as an independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.
Mike Hughes, aged 49, has experience in sales and marketing roles in the healthcare and technology sectors for a number of blue chip companies. Of note, Mike was Head of Marketing for the partnership division of Marconi Communications, managing the global partnerships of Siemens, Nokia and Ericsson. After leaving Marconi Communications in 2000, Mike went on to become a successful entrepreneur, launching a number of companies in the manufacturing, internet and recruitment sectors. Mike is currently Chairman of the British Jewellery Association, Vice President of the British Allied Trade Federation and a council member of the West Midlands CBI. He was educated in Birmingham with a degree in Business and Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Commenting on today's appointment, Mike Lord, Chairman and CEO, stated: "I am pleased to welcome Mike to the Board of JSJS. He has a wealth of experience in developing and growing businesses, and also brings a speciality in developing distribution channels and routes to market, which is a particular area of focus for JSJS over the next couple of years."
