Announcement of Financial Results for Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2012

On May 11, 2012, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation ("NTT") announced that it has filed with the Tokyo Stock Exchange and other stock exchanges in Japan on which its securities are traded information as to its financial condition and results of operations at and for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012. Attached please find an English translation of the press release and supplemental data relating thereto.

The consolidated financial information of NTT and that of its subsidiaries, NTT DOCOMO, INC. and NTT DATA CORPORATION, included in the press release and the supplemental data relating thereto were prepared on the basis of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States.  The non-consolidated financial information of NTT and that of each of its three wholly-owned subsidiaries, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation and NTT Communications Corporation, included in the press release and the supplemental data relating thereto were prepared on the basis of accounting principles generally accepted in Japan. The consolidated financial information of the registrant's subsidiary, Dimension Data Holdings plc, included in the supplementary data related to the press release was prepared on the basis of International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS").
