i do not know, but frog mat is based also on biodegradable plastics, so i would suggest, yes they will buy also this materials from stanelco or biotec to build frog mat. by not doing so, they would not need to have this deal made. but i am not shure about it 100 %. but this is future , until now we only have the deal but n o confirmed launch of the products.

you will find this in the figures of the annual report :
Investment in new equipment at Biotec during the year of £1.0 million increased effective capacity to 7,500 tonnes per
annum. The end result is a capable and modern automated facility that, while unproven as yet by demand, may be able
to flex up to 20,000 tonnes per annum in its current footprint/configuration.
the current footprint/configuration was 8 hours a day, so calculate yourself if run 24/7 :-)

dont you think they will better invest into biotec to whom by the way they sell their materials to produce bioplast, than building and controlling an own unit. there is no proof of a decision taken, please identify the facts, if so, there is only a hint that this could be planed and before they build up capacities themself with r & d e.g. and have to pay royalties for it, it will be better to do it as a joint venture for them. they have no experience in this themselve and it is not their main focus to produce themselve, if so it would have been easy to buy seo at this levels and coordinate and control everything themselfe !

paul mines is binded to what he is saying and he is not positive in his comments, which is apprechiated very much, better than promising figures which will not be delivered. its not stated that this is on a 24/7 base. it is under cirrent modification the volumes mentioned to be reached and the configuration as when he stated this was 8 hours a day !

the most important is how the balance sheet will look like, if we calculate on the base what was presented towards the agm, we can calculate of a turnover of approx. between 9.8 million and 11 million. with no mageur write downs, the question is, will we be profitable ? also this is conservative figures only build of the increase in biotec, without rf business and licence agrrements on extra volume. we will know more after the august update, but we are quite closely to beeing even or a very slight profit in 2008 i believe. correct me if i am wrong :-)

wolfman,
appreciate your comments.
Agreed Biotec and therefore SEO will benefit in a small way from property rights if SPhere produce Bioplast at their own facility.
But the decision whether they can or cannot do this has already been made.
It is simple.
If Biotec as a company cannot meet SPhere's demand then they are allowed to produce bioplast themselves, end of story.
There are many ways of looking at it.
SEO could be quickly increasing their customer base and restricting SPhere supply as they have golden share rights.....not likely IMO.
or it could be that the SPhere representatives at Biotec are blocking a decision to expand the plant in germany because they would prefer to produce bioplast themselves....thats what I would do!!
My take is that the decision made by SPhere has fundamental implications
for the SEO share price and is based on an agreement entered into by SEO themselves so clarification is needed from SEO to its shareholders.

Paul Mines himeself said that 12,000 - 20,000 mt was capacity @ 24/7 but this had not been tested.
As for sphere going alone, they would still have to pay Biotec royalties for the Bioplast formular.

sphere was planing a production facility, it was not builded as of yet and there will be some cooperation on this with biotec, as they have the patent for it, so they can not just build themself und start production. if something like this happens, be shure there will be a kind of cooperation for this with biotec and if this is the case automatically with seo. between planing and doing there is a great step in between. finally we are just guessing what the output of biotec is and as stated before it will be between 36000 and 120000, so we have to await the update in august, which will show clear figures and updates. besides sphere has enough work to convert there consumption of 120000 to biotec which is also not done within one day ! cheers

nice link equate.
so its happened.
Biotec cannot meet demand so sphere are going to produce bioplast themselves to meet their own requirements.
IMO SEO should now tell us what the production figures are for Biotec and why they are not planning a plant expansion at Biotec.
It affects the share price.
It should be released.

it never run on 24/7 as you stated, from sphere you will find the numbers between 40000 and 120000 tonnes, stanelco can not offer this figures as traded and binded to rules. 40000 was the figure applicable when bitec worked 8 hours a day, if they run 24/7 you can imagine that it is possible to reach something between 80000 and 120000, its easy to calculate. even if you calculate with 12000 on 8 hours run, you can come to at least 36000 on a 24/7 run. it all depends on sphere, if they convert more, biotec will run 2 to 3 shifts to produce that volume ! besides sphere was already at about 11000 in march of there converting issue from plastic to biotec products. calculate yourself :-) cheers

Under the terms of the agreement Sphere can produce Biotec materials on their own but only if Biotec cannot meet their demand. And as a private company they do not have to tell us about it.
The question is are SPhere manufacturing their own bioplast?
If so that may not be a bad thing because it means that Biotec must be running at full capacity and thats good news for us.
Of course a plant expansion at Biotec would be even better news but hey...
I will take ANY news on this share at the mo.
