TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL
London, UK - 1 February 2012: Spirent Communications plc ("the Company") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, would like to notify the market in accordance with the Financial Services Authority's ("FSA") Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the following information as at 31 January 2012:
The Company's issued share capital consisted of 662,047,878 Ordinary Shares of 3 & 1/3 pence each with each share carrying the right to one vote. The Company holds no Ordinary Shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company was 662,047,878.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
