Yep, saw all these reports yesterday, including the one in the FT.
My view is that the SP is significantly lower than the fundamentals she is delivering, which is probably due to a number of factors the Leveson inquiry, the gloomy economic picture, etc. Having said that, Im not sure she is doing a great job at explaining how she will translate the model to the online world, or doing much to deliver value for shareholders. Its no surprise they are brassed off! I think she needs to seriously consider ways to get the SP back up a bit a large share purchase with that bonus wouldnt go amiss, a reinstatement of a small divi (whilst not impeding debt reduction too much), etc. If she doesnt pull her finger out and do what she can to boost the share price, time is running out for her WB |

I didn't realise she was on that much. If she was paid half of what she currently gets we wouldn't be in such a big hole. An extra 6 million off the debt pile would be significant.
Sack her and bring in fresh blood - we need some new direction. |

You are probably asking the wrong person Ruski Boris, because I have been buying from 63p! If I thought they were cheap then, I must think they are a complete bargain now!
With debt below £250m and continuing to fall nicely, a PE ratio in the 1 region, revenue declines stabilising, management predicting year end results at the top end of forecasts, cost cutting on track and the strongest competition in the Sunday market self-imploding, I find it hard to believe TNI has been in better shape for the last 3 years yet the SP is near lows. Im not so sure how much the hacking enquiry has dampened the SP. Lets face it; we all know it went on, every tabloid was probably at it. But if it has had an impact, the SP should probably recover now. If not, the results in March will be the trigger. Im personally holding long and Im happy to see TNI continue to pay down debt the sooner it is cleared completely, the sooner the drain of interest payments is cleared and substantial dividends can return. Remember, TNI cleared £20m of debt in the last quarter. Imagine the dividend pay outs without that debt to service and then work out the yield. Hey used to pay 20-odd pence dividends, and I can see those retuning as debt falls and the economy improves. I see TNI as a £2 share possibly higher. This year will be characterised by either a takeover approach (the paltry £120-odd million market cap makes it a target, in my view), or a return of a divi. Frankly, I hope neither happen and I can continue to accumulate at these low levels! |
