Voldmort, glad to hear that.
The cash position they are talking about is cash, not the net cash/debt you quote. Cash for H1 2010 was $0.987m and H1 2011 was $0.830m The company is also making a profit. The shipment of oil in October gave a revenue of $13m which more than covers the opex for the first half of the year. With the $10m debt repayed next year and cash now at approx $16m the drilling program will recommence and increase profit further. You may be right about the trust but that will improve with better communication from the BOD which im sure will be discussed at the AGM. |

Quite the opposite Gaffer35! I have bought and sold on the ramped spikes and done OK thank you.
This suffers from a lack of trust amongst other things, and inaccurate and misleading reporting. From the half yearly statement. "Net cash position of US$9.1 million at 30 June 2011 (US$2.4 million for H1 2010)" From later in the same statement "The Company's cash position for the six months ended 30 June 2011 did not change significantly as compared with the six months ended 30 June 2010" Currently loss making. |

Voldmort, have you lost a lot of money with UEN or something?
approx $16m in cash, producing 2000bopd, 57mbbls reserves, a refinery and $10m debt with a mcap of £20m seems undervalued to me. Why do you think its not? With more wells planned next year to increase production and the rest of the debt repayed this should be a lot higher imo. |

By JAMIE ASHCROFT Last updated at 2:47 PM on 9th December 2011 Meanwhile in the resource sector, shares in Russia-focussed oil firm Urals Energy (down 17 per cent today, at 7.875p) shot up around 45 per cent after it struck a pay-back deal for outstanding loans it made to former associate Taas Yuriak. Urals remains massively undervalued when taking a good luck at the fundamentals. I know it has It has gone through a tough period which should be no surprise however when considering their assets and production levels against their market value this simply is a bargain. With finance sorted there is only one way I expect this to go over next few months. Remain patient and top up at these bargain prices as the fundamentals are always key in long term investment.

PROACTIVE NEWS SUMMARY: Rockhopper Exploration, Range Resources, Urals Energy
4:20 pm by Sergei Balashov http://bit.ly/uErZuK The oil and gas sector generated plenty of interest today as Falklands explorer Rockhopper Exploration (LON:RKH) released its interim report, while Panmure Gordon initiated coverage of another closely followed explorer Range Resources (LON:RRL). Rockhopper said its Falkland drilling campaign has been very successful as it has established the Sea Lion discovery as a world-class asset. The appraisal and exploration drilling is now coming to an end, with the final well currently in progress. Subsequently Rockhopper is focusing on engineering and financing as it moves towards a final investment decision for a future oilfield development. This could involve bringing in a new partner, it said in this mornings interim results statement. Rockhopper explained that it has prepared a data room for potential industry partners and debt providers to assess Sea Lion discovery. We continue in the rare position of holding 100 per cent of what we are proving up to be a world-class asset, which makes a range of options available to us, said chairman Dr Pierre Jungels. Having established that the field is commercial and that it will be developed, we will now look to proving how, and potentially with whom, best to achieve such a development. Rockhopper said that following the recent appraisal drilling it will revise its oil-in-place estimates for Sea Lion, which currently stand at 1.2 billion barrels in the mid-case scenario. It subsequently plans to complete a new competent persons report by the end of March. Meanwhile, Panmure today recommended investors to buy Range Resources, while giving it a 13.8 pence per share target price. At the current price of 8.25p Range shares offer investors undemanding leverage to producing fields and frontier exploration plays, says analyst Leila Reddy. Range is underpinned by 2P reserves of 25 million barrels, an active development programme which aims at tripling the current 680 barrels a day production volumes and the spudding of its second well in Georgia and Puntland by early 2012, the analyst said in a note to clients. At current levels, this attractive mix of high margin production combined with high impact high risk exploration upside, with an unrisked net asset value (NAV) 37.9p/share, offers an opportune entry point. Back in April, Range acquired a 90 per cent stake in three producing oilfields in Trinidad in exchange for US$52 million and 35.8 million shares. The company is now working to expand and develop the Trinidad operations. Reddy says the transaction has transformed the group from pure exploration to one that includes flowing barrels. Looking ahead to the coming year Reddy says that a step-up in production to the 1,400-1,800 barrels a day level in the first quarter will be a key milestone. That will be followed by a fully funded 21-well development programme, she said. The analyst expects production to reach at least 4,000 barrels a day by 2014. |

Urals Energy shares soar on loan pay-back deal
2:25 pm by Jamie Ashcroft http://bit.ly/tYHnDD Urals said that it will have US$11.6 million available for exploration, development and working capital. Shares in Russia-focussed Urals Energy (LON:UEN) shot up around 60 per cent this afternoon as it reached a pay-back deal for loans it made to its former associate Taas Yuriakh. Urals disposed of its 35.3 per cent stake in Tass back in 2009. The Taas loans relate to an acquisition agreement in 2009 and organisation fees for a project financing deal on an Eastern Siberian oilfield. "We are delighted to have concluded the Taas loan pay-back deal which has been achieved through nine months of negotiations in extremely difficult market circumstances, said chief executive Alexei Maximov. Whilst the details and background to these matters are complex, shareholders will no doubt see that the company is continuing to work tirelessly to strengthen its balance sheet and this is another firm step towards recovery and the future of Urals Energy." The company will receive US$26 million as a result of todays deal. It said that US$10 million of that will be paid to its creditor the Petraco Oil Company. Subsequently the remaining US$9.9 million debt to Petraco will be settled in 2012, Urals said. Urals said that it will have US$11.6 million available for exploration, development and working capital. Additionally Urals told investors that it has entered into a termination and release agreement with Finfund, it second largest shareholder, and Yakut Energy Limited. This agreement sees Urals pay US$4.4 million to Finfund. Meanwhile Finfund has agreed to release Urals of its obligations to pay pledge fees under an earlier agreement from November 2007. Additionally Finfund and Yakut have confirmed that Urals ceased to be a party to a joint venture agreement entered at that time. At 14:00 on AIM Urals shares were up 2.5p, or 38.5 per cent, trading at 9p a share. The stock had earlier spiked to an intraday high of 10.25p. |

the payment to UEN announced today is equal to just over £16 million, the entire market cap value before today rise! I wonder if we see further rises on the back of this, given all fundamentals and considerable de risking this brings about to Urals? Nice to see Urals announcing some exciting news, post almost 2 years of waiting! GLA

Urals Energy transfers Tass loans to Nagelfar
8 December 2011 | 14:13pm StockMarketWire.com - Urals Energy has transferred its long standing loans to Taas-YuriakhNeftegazodobycha to Nagelfar Trade and Invest Ltd. The loans were issued as part of the Taas acquisition in 2009. The loans were used to pay organisation fees for a $600m project finance loan facility provided by Savings Bank of Russian Federation for the development of the SRB field, financing of interest payments and repayment of third party loans at Taas. The loans bear interest of 12%, mature in February 2015 and are unsecured. Urals Energy has assigned the full benefit of the loans (together with all accrued interest) to Nagelfar for $26m. The value of the principal of the loan is $28m and its book value for the year ended 31 December 2010 was $37.7m (including the accrual of relevant interest). maybe Taas is paying their loan early, because it carries a 12% pa interest. In any case, Urals is so heavily undervalued. It is producing oil, has good cashflow, reducing it's debt and it's net cash position accounts receivable+cash-accounts payable is plus and with streaming oil, should be at least 20p

Simple, they will tell them the same as what they all have been doing on here and ADVFN and tell them the SP is undervalued without a clue as what SP should be or how to get tit there. Just because they say "its massively undervalued and anybody can see it" I have yet see any calculations to say its valuation is more that its current SP.

Urals Energys Maximov confident about future prospects after oil shipment
7:19 am by Jamie Ashcroft http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/35397/urals-energys-maximov-confident-about-future-prospects-after-oil-shipment-35397.html After making the debt repayment Urals Energy said it plans to use $5.1 million of the remaining export proceeds for the development of its assets, as well as for working capital. Urals Energy (LON:UEN) chief Alexei Maximov today said he remains confident about the companys future prospects. The comments came as Urals announced a tanker shipment containing 227,525 barrels of crude oil from the Arcticneft licence in Russia. This represents an 11.4 per cent increase from last years shipment. Subsequently the company has paid off $8 million from its debt to Petraco Oil Company. The payment was in-line with the restructured terms of the groups debt repayment agreement, announced in August. The $8 million payment covers the October and November tranches. It also fulfils Urals obligations for 2011. The outstanding debt now stands at $19.9 million. We have made a considerable progress by reducing outstanding debt owed to Petraco and strengthening our balance sheet, Maximov said. With a supportive macro-outlook for oil underpinning growth forecasts, the board maintains its focus on maximising revenues from both producing assets, whilst exploring further M&A opportunities in the sector. Against that backdrop we remain confident about the future prospects of Urals Energy. After making the debt repayment Urals Energy said it plans to use $5.1 million of the remaining export proceeds for the development of its assets, as well as for working capital. Maximov added: The Board continues to see operational progress with continuing production from both Arcticneft and Petrosakh. |
