Orsu Metals Corporation Provides Update on Sale of Varvarinskoye Project

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 14, 2009) - Orsu Metals Corporation ("Orsu" or the "Company") (TSX:OSU)(AIM:OSU) and OJSC Polymetal ("Polymetal") confirm that they have extended the long stop date relating to the previously announced definitive sale and purchase agreement (the "SPA") of Orsu's Varvarinskoye Gold- Copper Project in Kazakhstan to Polymetal. No commercial terms of the SPA have been amended and the parties expect to close the transaction prior to the extended long stop date of 30 October 2009 upon receipt of final third party approvals.
