07:55GMT 17Sep2009-ReNeuron falls on later-than-expected trial date
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Shares in stem cell specialist ReNeuron tumble 16 percent after the company says in an update ahead of its AGM that it expects to start its first human trial in late 2009 or early 2010, later than investors had anticipated.
"There's a delay compared to what the market was expecting," says analyst Vadim Alexandre at house brokerage Daniel Stewart, adding that it is good news, however, that the company is now able to announce a specific timeline.

07:43GMT 17Sep2009-Antofagasta up on Cazenove upgrade
-----------------------------------------------------
Shares in Antofagasta gain 1.2 percent in a strong mining sector, outperforming a 0.7 percent rise by the FTSE, as Cazenove upgrades the Chilean copper miner to "outperform" from "in line".
Cazenove sees a positive outlook for copper prices, to which it says Antofagasta has the highest earnings leverage in the broker's coverage universe.
"We like the fact it is on the cusp of delivering 55 percent production growth over the next two years into what could be very tight copper markets in 2010-11," the broker says in a note.
The broker also sees low delivery risk to the firm's growth, substantial hidden value within the company and an impressive free cash flow generation and potential for capital returns at the year-end.

07:20GMT 17Sep2009-Innovation up on contract win
------------------------------------------------
Shares in Innovation Group Plc rise 11 percent to 12.6 pence after the software firm says it signed a contract worth a minimum of 3.7 million pounds with a "large UK retail bank" for both a software licence and services.
The company says the software licence element underpins current year expectations.
"We had been nervous about the outcome for FY2009 estimates, but a series of contract wins over recent months has served to underpin current year forecasts," says analyst Jonathan Imlah of Altium Securities.
Imlah raises the price target on the stock to 12 pence from 10 pence.

07:13GMT 17Sep2009-Renovo slumps as bid talks fail
--------------------------------------------------
Shares in British anti-scarring company Renovo fall by 10 percent after it announces that it has failed to reach a takeover deal.
"Removal of the bid speculation means that Renovo is likely to continue to be weak near term as 'fast money' exits," says Ian Wainwright, managing director of specialist life sciences sales at brokerage Canaccord Adams, in an email.
