Appointment of Non Executive Director

Surface Transforms (AIM:SCE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Douglas Gledhill (aged 56) as a Non Independent Non Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Since 1972 the principal activity of Richard Gledhill has been (and continues to be) the building and developing of the Gledco Engineered Materials carbon business. The company produces mechanical carbon components and materials for the Aerospace and oil and gas industries and, following the aquisition of US Graphite in 1998, now supplies carbon components, worldwide, from 3 locations in the UK, USA and Mexico.

Richard Gledhill in the past five years, has been (and continues to be) a Director of the following companies:

C. Gledhill Limited

Craven Crombie Limited

Gledco Engineered Materials Limited

US Graphite inc

US Graphite Mexico S.De..RL.De.c.v.

Vitalcause Limited

Richard Gledhill owns or is interested in 6,828,723 ordinary shares of the Company, which represents 29 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
