Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. - Result of AGM

At the 120th annual general meeting held today, all the resolutions put to shareholders were duly passed. These resolutions are contained in the Notice of the 120th Annual General Meeting dated 27 May 2009, a copy of which is available on the company's website (www.youngs.co.uk) or on request from the company at its registered office: Riverside House, 26 Osiers Road, Wandsworth, London SW18 1NH (telephone 020 8875 7000).

Pursuant to rule 17 of the AIM rules, specific notification is made of the fact that shareholders passed a resolution relating to the payment, on 16 July 2009, of a final dividend of 6.63p per share. This is payable to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 12 June 2009.

For information, the total number of voting shares in issue is 29,064,000 and valid proxy appointments were received from holders of 17,398,125 voting shares amounting to 59.86% of the issued voting share capital. The following table excludes abstentions / votes withheld and proxy appointments received from holders of 4,336,278 voting shares who appointed someone other than the chairman of the meeting as their proxy.
