Awesome results but as expected so not much movement. Last year I posted that if they continued on the same metrics as BHP (rio not reported yet) they would have a price of 2000 - that is now 2500 based on todays BHP price - still way undervalued especially with a 45% reduction in debt and 93% increase in free cashflow
Still a holder and will be until the price reflects the company

I am sure that the return to paying a dividend has had / will have a marked effect on the SP. I think the ascent of the SP may have some way to go yet. I am hoping we can achieve the 1400 level soon, and then close in on the 1700 level.

That and the fact that commodities tanked yesterday after the outcome of the Federal Reserve meeting was reported, so there's a double whammy here and I can see the sp quickly falling to support at £8 and possibly a lot lower.

The idea is the issued note is a convertible acked by anglo shares so investors "sell short to hedge the convertible element" when they buy the note - the shares are bought by the company issuing the note - hence the theory is that it is market neutral ........not sure it will work in practice but there you go.

Nice article on copper in this weeks economist - says there will be copper shortages if the continued move to electric vehicles continues (they use 4 * the copper in present cars due to elec motor)....
Very good results PE 9.77 vs 14.16 BHP and 15.98 Rio.
Hard to compare given no div at anglo and different commodities
On ebitda less capex basis BHP and Rio more attractive
However if AAL does not pay a div and uses cash to further delever they will have a cap structure very similar to the others - using BHP and Rio multiples (ebitda and PE) and same EPS and Ebitda you would get a price of 2000p for AAL.
Let see if Dec 2017 AAL price is around £20 - happy to hold till then
" The @GB:UKX:FTSE 100 has just broken through its highest ever closing price, climbing 41 points to 7,109. Underpinned by the weak pound and a brighter future for the miners, the blue-chip index closed in on October's all-time high of 7,129. ..."
