Director Deals - Ariana Resources PLC (AAU)
16/03/2018 - 09:00 StockMarketWire
Michael de Villiers, Chairman, bought 2,000,000 shares in the company on the 16th March 2018 at a price of 1.33p. The Direc...
I think we can assume that the Chairman has absolute confidence that there is value here. Following what directors do, especially if its their own hard earned cash, is no bad thing and regarded by many as a simple but effective investment strategy.
There is no greater statement that the Directors are aligned with shareholders when they show tangible, irefutable confidence in their own stock by shelling out their own pennies. Well done Michael. Thank you for giving us all a clear steer of future wealth creation.
read and forward to greens world wide

tt i am as frustrated as you are .the only reason for what is happening has to be some one trying to discredit the company and the only thing i can think of for that is to buy out the company at fire sale prices
please note that when I wrote "kermin says, kermin says, kermin says - like a stuck record" I am not commenting on kermin himself speaking. Of course he is conveying information and we expect him to comment.
I was referring to the posts lining his comments to the prospects for the share price.
if you x the oz produced by $600 production cost =2322580.6 and deduct the for the increase in cash take or sales we get an increase of profit pa of $2802581.4 for the jv.the jv at the moment is paying of our loan incurred by drilling for them from 2010 up to last year .it must be quite a considerable sum
apart from a drop in the sp.fundamentals.through put projected to increase to 180000tons pa a rise of 30000 tons at 4 grams a ton gives a increase of gold produced of 3870.9677oz x$1324 price of gold =$5125162 extra cash take pa .and the sp drops .basic manipulation.some one big wants to buy a cheap productive miner with good prospects.salinbas ,tavsan excetra
the podcast is still there but acsses to has been blocked .could it be that the shorter has no funds avalable to cover his position and has threatdend to declear him self bankrupt and leave the brokers to carry the can to cover the stock.your shares that they have lent him
Noting the time the RNS was issued it will be interesting to see where the share price opens tomorrow. That will show what "the market" thinks (even allowing for Kerim's "conservatism"). Production looks very good.
as we can see from todays trades it only takes 2or 3 million to be bought to lift the sp .the shorter and it was not the joint broker is in a no hope position becouse with out sellers ,to cover his position would jump the sp to around 5p
Totally agree Dic. What is the point of paying Yellow Jersey if you still adopt the silly conservative style. Why not tell us how much has been repaid by the J.V. Co.
Also when it was paid and how much is expected this year?
The full production costs of $600 per oz is amazing, but why choose to tuck the number in the notes at the bottom of the RNS?
Why can't we know exactly what the Bank Loan repayments are for this financial year?
It looks like they will exceed 20,000 ozs p.a. but if they are expecting throughput to increase Quarter by Quarter, why not give us some numbers?
More transparency still needed imo.
This is all great; grades recovery, AISC $600 pozs, no problems throughout early stage production, profitable and JV loans now being repaid. Bank loan just 2 years to clear.
Come on please get a tad excited!
Larry - "The question is; is it still possible for them to keep doing it, keep paying the fines and making a profit? "
Yes, Larry, it most certainly is. Look no further than Koch Bros Industries, JP Morgan, Goldman Sucks, Donald tRumpo & his evangelistic VP, Mike Pence.
It starts by getting rid of any regulatory processes and rules or maybe not getting too involved (like AIM?). Remember the prevailing winds and currents usually blow eastwards across the Atlantic Ocean (except recently when ya'all got frozen mitts from the north east).
The question is; is it still possible for them to keep doing it, keep paying the fines and making a profit? Some might say in the same way the privatised Water Companies keep under investing in their infrastructure, keep polluting and keep paying the derisory fines? We live in almost lawless times (For some)
My comment is about the gold market rather than AAU, but possibly the same thing applies to the shares of the gold miners -
We will never \ can never make any sense of it. There is too much behind-the-scenes action that is hidden from us.
"It's Not A "Conspiracy Theory": Here's How Central Banks Actively Suppress The Price Of Gold"
Bob Moriarty gives a strong argument against the conspiracy theory and he quite savagely attacks the mouthpieces who often appear on King World News -
Bob Moriarty wrote "Nobody Knows Anything: Investing Basics Learn to Ignore the Experts, the Gurus and other Fools 2nd Edition", selling well and into it's second edition. In spite of his claim that Nobody Knows Anything, he makes remarkably good forecasts, so he must know something and I have a great deal of respect for his opinion, but I believe he is wrong about this.
He writes - "If you are going to claim to be an expert shouldn't you get at least one prediction right sometime?". For many years, I read articles by Jim Sinclair and James Turk and for about eight years they were nearly always right, but then from 2011, suddenly, they stopped being able to make good forecasts. That is odd when men who know the market like nobody else and who were nearly always right suddenly stop being right. I believe something changed in 2011 and the people behind the curtain stepped up the market manipulation. Free market economics no longer apply and that is why Sinclair and Turk keep getting it wrong.
Another reason why I thnk Moriarty is wrong is because Deutsche Bank has admitted to fraud in the silver market and I don't see why it should be any different for gold -
"Deutsche Bank Confirms Silver Market Manipulation In Legal Settlement, Agrees To Expose Other Banks"
"Deutsche Bank Provides "Smoking Gun" Proof Of Massive Rigging And Fraud In The Silver Market"
"Deutsche Bank Trader Admits To Rigging Precious Metals Markets"
Another opinon -
"Why QE didnt send gold up to $20,000"
So, you read the opinion pieces and take your pick - who is right and who isn't?
the profit made by the jv last 1/4 worked out at $260000 per week .at the end of this year the debt will have been reduced by $15.7 million which will leave around $18 million.this was calculated at the end of the last 1/4 ,gold and silver have both gained in value since then which should result in a increase in profit for this 1/4.trump has talked the French into releasing (selling) gold to try to stem the rise .just the same as when the Ukraine deposited 17.5 tons of gold with us ,and we release that on to the market again to try to turn the the tide against gold. but kingknute could not turn the tide and the USA GB and Euro will not stop the pm rise
