	I hold a small stake in AGA. Personally I wouldn't recommend buying Aga at this moment. I think there's better value elsewhere. However it depends what your timescales are, what your objectives are, and what the rest of your portfolio is. Aga make very good products. They have an excellent reputation in the UK & N Armerica. These markets are depressed, and are likely to remain so for some months (IMHO.) They are at the luxury end of the market, and that has suffered, and is likely to stay depressed for some months. However at some stage they will recover, people will start spending on doing up kitchens etc. and AGA's business should recover is spectacular style, and then the dividends will return. I would like to see signs of the recovery (like unemployment reducing) before I'd buy more, but by that time the sp is likely to be higher than it is now. AGA are in a reasonable financial position, and the bottom would really have to drop out of the market for them to go belly up, so if you are looking long term (2-3 years) then I'd say you are unlikely to lose money by buying AGA now, and should do better than keeping the cash in a bank. If you feel you want exposure to the luxury end of the household goods sector in the UK & N America, this is probably one of the more reliable investments. All IMHO. Good luck. 	Am looking to invest some more cash in the market and this is one where I might buy a few. Would appreciate your views on why this could be a good investment please. Have looked on the fundamentals tab and it looks like divis are drying up...or am I missing something? 	Can only think there are expectations of more promising trading (interims due at end of this month), or perhaps rumour of a bid? I'm surprised nothing has been mentioned in the media or by the company due to the strength of the shareprice over such a short period? Either way this is a quality business (they don;t come much better) and the share price will benefit patient shareholders as Aga will make bundles again once the market normalises. 	RH, Just following your comments on why you think Aga stoves are good products. I saw an article recently saying that when "buying green" you should not just look at the fuel efficieny of an item's operation, but also its life-cycle, because much of the energy used by a product in its life-cycle is generated during manufacture. The article went on specifically to recommend buying Bentleys and Agas - because they last for ever. Checking in today because there is supposed to be a trading update, and I would expect it to be released at 7:00; but nothing has appeared. Maybe it will be a 12:00 release. 	Well, congratulations on you rpurcahse RH. 50% increase in sp since buying. I think I'd be tempted to sell in your situation. I'm a lon gterm holder and still showing a loss. The way I read it is that AGA are a good company with good products with excellent reputations. However they make their money from the discretionary spend of the pubilic; and their main geographical markets are facing a long recession. I can't quite understand the recent rise - i think it was undervalued, and this may just be a correction, but it's unusual that a correction would be so strong. I would expect the "fear" to drive markets several times this year & I suspect AGA will slip again when that happens. I hope I'm worng & it just goes from strength to strength, but I think after the recent rally, if I was showing 50% profit I'd cash it in; and maybe buy back in at a lower price. 	Maybe you should re-read the original comment which stated that I was currently a shareholder (who had obviously based the investment decision on fundementals) before even walking into the local aga shop & was merely stating my observation of what happened. I am happy with the recent rise like any other shareholder would be despite still showing a fair loss on price paid. The discussion board is for exchanging views & acquiring info in a polite manner, rather than posting sarcastic, smart a**e comments!!
