	yup! it looks that way. Taking a medium term view, platinum and AQP is likely to go much higher for reasons mentioned in my last post. Any takeover speculation will be icing on the cake. 	just thought you might find this interesting: on 21 sept 09, if i/you had bought 1 share in each of these companies then today the profits would have been: aquarius - aqp: +11.2% jubilee - jlp: -17.5% lonmin - lmi: -6.5% rio - rio: +19.3% vedanta - ved: +8.80% xstrata - xta: +10.9% Looks like lonmin is worth buying, jubilee moreso - this is just based on the figures/comparisons - it has nothing to do with whether these co's are any good and does not allow for fickleness of the market any thoughts? 	Now 1432 an ounce. The share price isnt moving up with the price of plat though, it is lagging. That could mean we get a stronger upward lurch a bit later. A while ago, JLP was down. 	Platinum price fell sharly from 2220 to 800 between May 08 and November 08. Since then it has been on an upward trend, now surpassing the 1400 mark Car production in China has increased. 	And there it is. It looks as if the market seems to think that these levels cant be sustained, the AQP share price should be higher. At least in my opinion. 	Just wondering if the price of plat is going to reach 1400 bucks an ounce. It is within striking distance. That has got to boost the share price if it can make it. 	The directors need to ensure the business case remains sound, which needs a stronger platinum price and a weaker rand... but they also need to get mining from the first Ridge bought through Ridge Mining in full production first. Metals and commodities are all getting hit in this current pullback as, by and large, resource stocks have been at the front edge of the latest leg up of the global equity rally. If the US led pullback continues then we can expect to see metals hit harder than most. Good luck with your investments.
