	Aviva Chart looks like it has just entered narrow Bollinger bands Up or down it can go either way but this share does have income support, With embedded value funds so the downside will be limited. 	Any chartists using this board? It looks like there is a crude Head and Shoulders pattern here. Whether you believe in charting or not, these things can be self-fulfilling. It doesn't seem to be a perfect pattern, but we could see a sharp break down 'the shoulder' if it forms for another 5 days or so... 	What a great time to take advantage of this weeks market correction and buy up at such an undervalued price, we all know how strong Aviva are, and have always bounce back from the volatility of the past few months. Have hoover,d up another 10k shares today, and will avoid the banks, who have too many enemies for the time being, and i am pretty certain history will repeat itself and we will see a well deserved turnaround maybe tomorrow or early next week on Aviva. 	take your pick i think a good oppotunity to either top up,or if you are like me i have a core holding which is at about £4.17 but on the dips(bought at £3,80 and sold at £4.10) take the profit and waiting to buy back in again,i think we may see £3.80 to 85sh that would be my entry level at the moment unless something shows tomorrow that indicates it may go lower,but whenever i do think its a way of making a quick profit and it reduces your break even point,absolutly confident it will go back up just another dip More \| View thread (1) \| Respond \| Login to Vote up \| Login to Vote down

	andysan, depends why you hold this share, if you wanted good capital growth you are in the wrong share, if like me you want divi (7% after 10% divi withholding tax) makes the return from a safe company outstanding. 	Opens this morning at 4.18 - think its in for a good day, then falls back to sub 4.10 and stays there - when FTSE rises why does this SP fall back. 	"We upgrade Aviva to Overweight and raise our price target 33% to 593p (~45% implied upside)as we are increasingly confident that the ‘heavy lifting’ Aviva has undertaken over the past two years is beginning to pay off. Specifically: 1) restructuring of UK life; 2) the successful estate attribution; 3) the overhaul of the UK general insurance business; and 4) the plan for Aviva Europe. While some of this has yet to feed through into the numbers, we believe other aspects have been masked from investors by the volatility of markets. Downside risk has been reduced,given the extensive work on the balance sheet. We also note the improving conditions in UK commercial property, which bodes well for the mortgage book. 	went up early doors ,nothing will go up in straight lines just be patient ,i agree if (which i think is unlikely )it goes down to £3.70 it would be a good buying oppotunity,i think aviva is rock solid for med to long term and even though very volatile you should really look at least a few months ahead,it does surprise me every time it goes down usually on something thats nothing to do with aviva,l see these posts which are all doom and gloom,if it bothered me like that i would sell now and look at something else,however take a look around there is plenty red today, so if anyone knows a share that goes up only give me a shout More \| View thread (8) \| Respond \| Login to Vote up \| Login to Vote down
