The Company was notified on 3 February 2010 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 3 February 2010 the following executive directors and other persons discharging managerial responsibility (together the "Participants") had purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Shares") by way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 2074.75 pence per Share.
