BCB HOLDINGS LIMITED ANNOUNCES DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT Belize City, Belize, October 1, 2009 - BCB Holdings Limited (London - AIM: BCB) (the "Company") announces that Philip Priestley (Age 63) has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Mr. Priestley is a British citizen and retired senior British diplomat with more than 35 years experience in the foreign office. Mr. Priestley served from 2001 to 2004 as British High Commissioner to Belize. Prior to this, Mr. Priestley served as Head of the North America Department in the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (1996-2000); as British Consul-General in Geneva (1992-1995), and as British Ambassador to Gabon (1990-1991). Mr. Priestley was a Fellow at Harvard University's Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs from 1991 to 1992. Mr. Priestley has also been a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce since 1998 and was awarded a CBE in 1996 for services to Anglo-Swiss Relations. Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Priestley said: "I am delighted to be joining the Board of BCB Holdings Limited and I look forward to working with my fellow Board Members in achieving the Company's future development goals." The Company's Chairman, Lord Ashcroft also commented: "I am very pleased that Philip Priestley will be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director. With his outstanding diplomatic record and extensive trade and investment promotion experience, I am sure that his knowledge, skills and expertise will be invaluable to the Company as we move forward." Mr. Priestley has no share interest in the Company. There are no further details that are required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules. The Board of Directors of the Company now comprises of Lord Ashcroft, Philip Johnson, Lyndon Guiseppi, Peter Gaze, Philip Osborne, Cheryl Jones, John Searle, Euric Bobb, Wendell Mottley and Philip Priestley.
