Corero are in the hot space of providing internet protection for hosting providers, service providers and others with internet based operations. To ensure a continuous service to their clients, free from disruption of cyber attacks.

Shorting a rising stock....is much worse when it is done by your resident posters that seemingly are your buddies and convince 'long' holders to give up!
What many pi's fail to grasp is the extent that shorting is taking place. Often we tend to think that the 'shorter' is done with and we expect the stock to now rise, now that 'he' is out of the way? You'd be wrong in many instances, for 'he' the shorter, is often followed by others that 'help' keep the stock down !
Some stocks fall after GOOD NEWS! ....IS it just normal levels of profit taking? Yes, imo....
...BUT the underlying reason for many pi's taking early profits, is simply they are afraid they'll be left in paper losses!
Thus, if the stock, after 'good news' is then shorted, then kiss good bye to this stock reaching new highs in the very near term!
We can't both WIN !
The 'shorts' therefore 'win' their bets, whereas the 'longs' lose the best part of their investment, possibly for some time to come......and just when you thought this couldn't go any lower, THEY'LL SHORT THE STOCK AGAIN !
Why is this? They both can't win...the money has to come from somewhere?
Thanks for all your support. We are now at 4,378 votes!

# The big problem with shorting is that THEY (the shorters) WOULD most likely lose most of their money IF they just 'bet' on the price going down without trying to 'help' it down?
So, there is the 'catch 22' scenario. No one would know of an RNS to be released that will contain BAD NEWS, if they did and then 'shorted' the stock, then they are guilty of 'insider trading'.
The only sure way to short a stock and WIN is to spread dis-information to defame the company with help from other posters that are in concert with them. To ENSURE that they don't lose the biggest part of their 'short', ironically, then, they must deramp with (seemingly) believable posts.
When the pro's do it, they simply get the media or well known 'crooked' tipsters, analysts or brokers to do it for them. (say no more). .They're all in cahoots with each other!
The campaign against shorting is for the benefit of the 'cheated' investors that cannot control their investments due to the dirty tricks played out by co-ordinated deramping in order to tank the sp to abnormally low levels.
When the campaign is complete, the results will be reviewed by Govt legislators re- further action! The branch of the FSA ie FCA will be asked by Davide Serra to conduct an investigation into short selling practices, with the view to either:- an outright ban on short selling, or at the very least to be better and more vigorously regulated !
The HMGovt epetition is a regulated and monitored site with legal authority that will NOT under any circumstances allow any auspicious individuals to prevent 'others' from casting their free votes. Discussions of which are freely entered into with individual viewpoints.
This is flatlining but any day now there could be an announcement about the next generation DDoS technology in development. This must be nearly ready to hit the market if expectations arising from previous announcements are fulfilled. Corero's next gen product could be regarded as a must-have for any company or government website that has to maintain a reliable presence on the web 24/7. The potential size of the market opportunity is clearly enormous.
But then you will be moving back into AIM ! But I know what you are saying I think it is very hard to become a long term holder in many shares in AIM it is so volatile. Best to take a profit where you can. It is a shame it has to be like that it is just a casino at best. I am in but have a target price of 25 then I will be out too.
well done do all who is still here, I sold out last time as I needed the money, but did not buy back in as want to move away from the AIM market..
have look at AIE as well recently from a FTSE small cap point of view and wonder what other thinks of that over in that BB.
GL all in CNS, I may be back in again when the sp settles on the new floor and funds available
cheers Spurs / Riddler, never knew you were the same person LOL, presume u support Spurs...
anyway, good research on CNS, plenty of potential with the low Mcap at present, also done pretty well with GDL recently, much better than stuck with oilys which I used to only invested in.
The good thing also is that AIM shares can go into ISA which is where alot of these low mcap, low shares in issue, product selling in the market companies will get major boost from ISA money..
But the other one which I know you still have interest is CAZA which IMHO will re-rate soon given that MF saying they could be cash +ve in Q3 and with low maketcap and shares in issue, bit crazy trading at that price at present..
thanks spurs for the update, taken a position here as well straight into an ISA, not massive amount but just enough for a small holding which I hope will gradually build. Saw Riddler's LSE posts, good research from the guy..
I a;lso tipped CNS over last 5 weeks on my LSE General Chat page which has led to 10-15 known posters taking a position in last 2 days alone, also hope to have a well read share tip mag covering CNS before end of 2013 : )
hi guys, as per my posts on LSE I spoke with Anfrew Miller last week and was impressed by his manner and realism, it seems clear from 4th Sept update CNS shareholder list that Land G are our last seller as Octopus gone now. reckon todays delayed £95k @ 12p from the 19th may be taking Land G to 2% or below
here are some extracts as to why I,ve been building and will add to my CNS holding in last 5 weeks

if you read my posts last month, i said this was a staged recovery and after each stage i will add till i get a WSG/APC esque holding........i mention those 2 cos they were "bombed out/forgotten" @ 11p and 7.8p respectively and now done 600-700% in 2yrs, and i think CNS has the market, the turnaround, the cash, the product, the BOD, the media coverage ( e-security mentioned lots in last 6 weeks with Santander etc)
stage 1: cash in summer
stage 2 Blackrock in
stage 3_ results showed confidence

Hi all. Great chat with BOD . Very honest about past performance but very clear about CNS role I global market place . I asked him why he thought the market had been so harsh on cns and he was honest about cash situation and Tjeu fact that the 3yr plan from inception hadn't quite delivered hence some funds exiting early. However they have cash tick 2015+ to deliver plans and that he and largest holder have worked together for many years and saw a gap this 20% per annum growth market and feel . Like me that this is fantastic opportunity. All I can say is that is was refreshing for a BOD to apologise for not ringing earlier due to meetings but then contacting a P.I to arrange a convenient time
I really believe this is another wsg and the BOD attitude to P.I s is another big tick. I am adding another £10k I next few weeks.
Very realistic outlook and refreshing honest view that cns have the market so there are no excuses not to deliver
Sudden rise of over a penny this afternoon, now 15-16p. No obvious reason, maybe people have decided this company is too cheap with a mkt value of £10m, no debt, millions in cash and a product that may well come to be regarded as a must-have for any organisation requiring a secure and reliable 24/7 internet presence.
Ashley Stephenson is now CEO. I understand his job involved responsibility for solution and product strategy. His promotion to CEO would seem to indicate that he has achieved some measure of success in the role? I read this as another sign that Corero has turned the corner and likely to prove a rewarding recovery situation.
Share price now convincingly off the recent bottom. At 15p investors who took part in the Feb 2013 placing are now breaking even. They must have felt the story was good enough to justify investing at the time. We'll soon know how much progress has been made since then. At least Blackrock sees the potential here.
RNS this morning likely to stop or reverse downtrend in share price I think. Following Blackrock into a depressed high-tech company with a market-leading product could be a good idea. Puts a floor under share price in the short term at least.
This company is still making a loss. Does anybody have any views/opinions on results. Is it one of those companies that keeps winning new contracts, boasts of indsutry leading product in high growth industry but never delivers. (Eruma and Mediwatch are 2 of my previous shares). Or does it have good potential
I cannot understand the apparently upbeat HY report, with focus on growth in sales, average order value etc, when in fact they have moved from a profit in the comparative period to a substantial loss in this one?
Does anyone have any views, more information etc??
RHPS new tip, WHE.......WHE, will fly above Bulfords buy-limit price of 12p,MM's will take this into auction and emerge with a huge spread, difficult TO DECIDE good luck to current holders!

Eng said Ascent is aiming of revenue generation from the two wells tested already by the middle of 2012 ahead of a major expansion in following years that could see between 15-30 wells on the main development. http://www.ascentresources.co.uk/
This week we have heard important news from FALKLAND OIL & GAS (FOGL) and also details of a boardroom reorganization that should, I believe, eventually allow trading to resume in the shares of US OIL & GAS (USOP).
The eye-catching item in the FOGL announcement is that the Leiv Eiriksson deep sea drilling rig is expected to reach the Falklands by the end of January.
It will then drill two wells for Borders & Southern, and then a third and probably a fourth for FALKLAND OIL & GAS. FOGL's first target will be the Loligo field, which has an estimated resource of 4.7bn barrels of oil.
At today's $110/barrel oil price this amount of oil is worth over $500bn! I am going to write a full update of the situation in the Falklands in the December edition of Red Hot Penny Shares. But the moment of truth is drawing near and if you are up for the gamble of a lifetime then BUY FALKLAND OIL & GAS up to 80p.
Below, more on US OIL & GAS (USOP) and also news of a very encouraging announcement from POWERHOUSE ENERGY (PHE). But first a look at the week's stats:
RHPS -5.7% -2.8%
FT Small Cap -3.9% -6.2%
AIM -4.5% -6.7%
This Weeks Winners:
Powerhouse Energy +15% (see below)
Lombard Risk Management +5%
This Weeks Losers:
Falkland Oil & Gas -26% (see above)
Tertiary Minerals -19%
Global Brands -16%

AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS (AVN): The leading shareholder in Avanti is the successful long-term backer of businesses, Caledonia Investments. CHAARAT GOLD (CGH): Latest drilling results from the Tulkubash zone of Chaarat's project in the Kyrgyz Republic have demonstrated an extension of the gold bearing vein and encountered some good gold grades of up to 8 g/t. Chaarat intends to start production from Tulkubash and these results suggest that Chaarat can 'increase production from this low cost ore body and further improve its profit potential for the early years of operation'. Further drilling is expected to find more gold, and a new resource and reserve estimate will be released early in 2012. BUY
