hey liz

business is booming, dont ask me why, theres a recession on, but it seems to be effecting people in different ways. its definatley not a recession we have seen before, and its not following the usual pattern

in the past recessions, everyones effected, everyone tightens their belts and stops spending. i tried to get a plumber to do a small job last week, phoned loads in the end............they are all booked up?, had to get a appointment for next week, read a story in the paper that someone tried to book a restraunt in durham, all full, no bookings available

then on the other hand, you hear of sensible working people who have not been able to find a job for a year. folks hit hard, and christmas cancelled.

companys going down the pan that you would not have expected to, and companys that are surviving that you expected to fail

and theres no north/south divide this time.

let hope it goes back to normality soon for everyone, i just get a bad feeling that we will all have to pay something in a few years time!, we have all been given a i.o.u, without our consent imho.............cheers gordon

rant over!

feel better now

john
