RNS Number : 7530C Empyrean Energy PLC 19 November 2009 19th November 2009 Empyrean Energy PLC ('Empyrean' or the 'Company', (EME)) Sugarloaf Project, Block B, onshore Texas, USA. Empyrean Energy Plc is pleased to provide the market with an update on preparations within the Sugarloaf Area of Mutual Interest ("AMI") for the first phase of farm-in work scope as outlined in the recent announcement dated 6th October 2009. The detailed planning for the fracture stimulation of each of the three horizontal wells has now been completed. The operator of the Sugarloaf Project, Texas Crude Energy Inc ("TCEI"), intends to carry out 'multi -staged' fracture stimulations along the horizontal section of each of the Kennedy-1H, Kowalik-1H and Weston-1H wells. Each stage will be individually hydraulically stimulated using a design that has proved effective elsewhere in the play, that stage is then isolated and the process repeated further up the liner. At Kowalik-1H, where it was not possible to recover the slotted liner, the slotted section will be stimulated with a single larger treatment and the conventional solid section of the liner will be treated in a similar fashion to the other two wells. Once treated, the wells will be brought on line to sales. Each well has now been prepared with the production tubing being pulled at Kennedy -1H and Kowalik-1H. The horizontal liners of all three wells are presently being washed out and clean water left behind ahead of the stimulations. At Weston-1H, production facilities are being installed, including a pipeline connection to the Kennedy-1H location to utilise the existing tie-in to a major export gas pipeline. Progress to date and the availability of equipment indicates that the likely start of the fracture operations will be during December. Each stimulation will take approximately 10 - 14 days. A further announcement will be made when these operations commence. Following the successful farm-out to Hilcorp Energy, Empyrean retains the following working interests ("WI") in Block B wells:

RNS Number : 5436C Empyrean Energy PLC 16 November 2009 16th November 2009 Empyrean Energy PLC ('Empyrean' or the 'Company', (EME)) Riverbend Project, onshore Texas, USA.
Empyrean Energy Plc is pleased to announce that it has been advised by Krescent Energy Company LLC ("Krescent"), the operator of the Riverbend Project in Texas, that drilling at the Quinn 3H well had progressed to a measured depth of 16,641 feet where Total Depth ("TD") was called at 2am on 13th November 2009. Since the last report, further significant and minor fractures have been encountered. The well plan had allowed for up to 5000 feet of horizontal to be drilled. The operator and JV partners have agreed to cease drilling and prepare for completion as multiple significant fractures and numerous smaller fractures have been encountered since entering the target zone. The number of fractures and gas pressures encountered generally compares favorably with successful longer horizontal wells drilled by operators to the north of the Riverbend Project area. Forward operations will include running production casing prior to preparing for testing of the well. A sales pipeline is already connected to the well site allowing for the well to be production tested direct to sales. Empyrean is earning a 10% working interest in the Riverbend Project. Further updates will be provided as significant events occur. The information contained in this announcement was reviewed by the Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist. Commenting today, Empyrean Director Tom Kelly said "Empyrean is excited to be commencing preparations to test the first well on the Riverbend Project. This project has an estimated recoverable hydrocarbon potential of 800 billion cubic feet gas equivalent. It will be interesting to see how the Quinn 3H well responds during the testing phase with a relatively short horizontal section." Contact:

RNS Number : 2360C Empyrean Energy PLC 10 November 2009 10th November 2009 Empyrean Energy PLC ('Empyrean' or the 'Company', (EME)) Riverbend Project, onshore Texas, USA.
Empyrean Energy Plc is pleased to announce that it has been advised by Krescent Energy Company LLC ("Krescent"), the operator of the Riverbend Project in Texas, that drilling had progressed to a measured depth of 16,383 feet from a vertical depth of 15,054 feet. Since "spudding" of the well on the 2nd September 2009, Krescent has successfully prepared the well for horizontal drilling, including running a cement bond log. This bond log necessitated remedial operations which were completed successfully. A window was then milled in the casing in order to horizontally drill ahead to the current measured depth. During drilling, multiple fractures have been encountered that have all exhibited significant gas flares and influx of gas into the drilling mud. Although highly encouraging, these gas kicks require extreme operational caution and necessitate drilling to be momentarily stopped whilst the gas that has invaded the drilling mud is circulated out of the well. The number and significance of the fractures and flares have exceeded the operator's expectation for the footage of horizontal drilled up to this point. This is positive and is being analysed further to decide upon how much further to drill ahead. No decision has been made on this, however it is highly likely that it will not be necessary to drill the planned 5000 feet of horizontal. Further announcements will be made as significant developments occur. No conclusions should be drawn from the observations to date, until drilling operations have completed and the well has been production tested. Contact:

RNS Number : 2897A Empyrean Energy PLC 06 October 2009 6 October 2009 Empyrean Energy PLC ("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME)) Sugarloaf Project, ("Sugarloaf"), Block B, Texas USA
Empyrean is pleased to announce that it has been advised by Texas Crude Energy Inc ("TCEI"), the operator of Block B on the Sugarloaf Project that is part of the Sugarkane Gas & Condensate Field ("Sugarkane") in onshore Texas, USA, that planning and initial preparatory work has commenced on the stimulation and completion program for the three existing horizontal wells within Block B. This work forms the first stage of the workscope required to be funded by Hilcorp Energy ("Hilcorp") to earn its interests as per the recently announced farmin deal. The wells will be stimulated using a fracture design that is based upon recent operations within the Eagle Ford Shale trend as well as taking account of the specific nature of the Sugarkane field. TCEI has advised that the major part of the work program is likely to start in November 2009, subject to the availability of rigs and equipment. In preparation for the fracture stimulation operations shallow water wells will be drilled and holding pits will be dug at each well location. This work has commenced at the Weston-1H well. Prior to this a rig will be mobilised to the Kowalik-1H well location to attempt to pull the slotted liner which was originally deployed in the horizontal open hole of this well. If successful the rig will then run and cement a conventional liner and the well will be fracture stimulated in similar fashion to that planned for the other two horizontal wells. If the slotted liner is unable to be recovered, it is likely that an acid stimulation will be attempted on the well. This alternative treatment has been successfully applied locally within the Austin Chalk. In addition, planning has commenced for a 2010 drilling program as part of the recently announced farmin deal, with the first wells drilled in this program likely to be within Block B. Under the terms of the farmout agreement all 3 new horizontal wells must have started by mid-2011 for Hilcorp to qualify for its full interest in Sugarloaf. Whilst this program of work remains subject to change, it does represent a significant acceleration of activity on Block B over the coming months. In addition to the Sugarloaf Block B wells, Hilcorp will also be involved in drilling up to 7 additional wells targeting the same play in adjoining acreage. As a result of this activity and the significant number of wells scheduled for drilling by competitor companies in the Eagle Ford Shale regional play near to the Sugarloaf Project, we can expect to see continuous improvement in the understanding of and value of our asset. Empyrean Energy Plc is pleased to announce that it has been advised by Krescent Energy Company LLC ("Krescent"), the operator of the Riverbend Project in Texas, that rig-up at the Quinn 3H well has now been completed with "spudding" of the well occurring at approximately 10.00pm (Houston, USA Time) on the 2nd September 2009. Initial operations will involve going back into the vertical part of the Quinn 3H well that is behind casing to condition the hole in preparation to test the casing and run a cement bond log. Following these operations the operator will mill a new window in the casing in order to commence drilling the horizontal section of the well. Further announcements will be made as significant developments occur. Contact:

Further information on the Riverbend Project The project area comprises a total of approximately 40,000 acres under lease or option and an area of mutual interest totaling 50,000 acres targeting the Austin Chalk and shallower Saratoga Chalk plays. A first well has been drilled on the project - the Quinn 3H well which encountered multiple gas flares and shows in the primary target zone before hitting a very high pressure gas zone that ultimately resulted in a blowout. Krescent took remedial action and was able to plug the vertical section of the well but lost the final 1000 feet of horizontal. The plan moving forward is to re-enter this well with a rig with greater pump capacity, specifically designed to handle the higher gas pressures similar to those encountered during the first attempt, mill a new window, and drill up to an estimated 5000 foot horizontal lateral to complete the well in the Austin Chalk B zone. The well has a sales pipeline already connected and upon successful completion of the horizontal the well will be flow tested direct to sales. The project comes with access to Krescent's 60 square miles of proprietary 3-D seismic coverage. This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange END
