In particular, there's an intriguing quote from the CEO. So now we know we can expect news of the fourth franchise with the JWE launch - and that this will also be well-known and likely pretty exciting:
"Braben himself.....also talks of beyond the impending release and says that in conjunction with that, Frontier will also be announcing the title of its fourth franchise.
Although giving nothing away on what this may actually be, he does confirm that it will be something that once more strikes a familiar chord with the audience."
I agree with the prior post - the overriding point is that JWE is progressing smoothly and on time. It's reassuring that PC and ED continue to sell well, but no-one should really have been expecting anything else from the update.
It'll be good to hear first details of the other games in the pipeline at some stage, perhaps in he next results narrative.
Figures in today's statement look completely fine.
Drop in share price is probably from people selling who were expecting something amazing. However that was never likely to happen at this point when there have been no new launches for a while. In 6 months or so Jurassic World Evolution is expected to be launched at which point things will get very interesting, in a positive way I expect.
"Working to film-quality standards and, in some cases, using actual assets from Jurassic World as a base Frontier has created some incredible-looking dinosaurs. They look how you'd expect them to, move how you'd expect them to, and, most impressively, they seem to behave like you'd expect them to.
They were, by quite a stretch, the stars of today's show, those dinosaurs which was fortunate, given that they were pretty much all we saw.
As one of the Frontier team said, these are still very early days for Evolution. There's quite a lot of development ahead, and quite a lot more things yet to be revealed but if they're of the same quality as what we saw today, then I reckon we could be in for a treat when the game finally hits shelves next summer.
I can't wait to see more.
Oh, and I couldn't help but notice that the developers made their entrance to the Jurassic Park theme, and then proceeded to talk about their love of the franchise having come from Jurassic Park, with Jurassic World being mentioned only in passing. Speaks volumes, eh?"
On October 7 at Londons Olympic Park we hosted our first ever Frontier Expo for over 1,000 members of the Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution communities.
After a day of panels and talks from Frontier developers and special guests, we were proud to discuss the future of Elite Dangerous, debut Planet Coasters next major update and reveal our first look at gameplay for Jurassic World Evolution.
"Frontier Developments plc (FTSE AIM: FDEV, "Frontier") a leading developer of video games based in Cambridge, UK, hosted Frontier Expo 2017 (FX17) on Saturday 7 October 2017 at Here East in London's iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
FX17 brought together Frontier's developers, over one thousand player community members and the games media at an exclusive Frontier event for the first time. The day featured special guest speakers, competitions and hands-on gameplay, before keynote announcements about the future of each of Frontier's first three video game franchises.
The next series of Elite Dangerous game updates for 2018 - titled "Beyond" - were announced, together with more teases on the evolving alien Thargoids storyline.
Planet Coaster's incredible first year of creativity and community engagement was celebrated, with news of a forthcoming Anniversary update that will further improve and expand game play.
The first ever in-game footage of Jurassic World Evolution (launching summer 2018) was revealed: hxxps://youtu.be/HVnk3yT2Lgo
Jonny Watts, Chief Creative Officer, commented:
"A dedicated Frontier event is a big step forward for us. It was fantastic to meet so many of our gamer community to continue the positive engagement between our gamers and our developers in person. Thank you to everyone involved in making the event a huge success."
"Frontier Developments ("Frontier"), was the second most significant contributor to performance, gaining 135% over the period. Frontier is attracting a wider investor audience as it launches its own new video games franchises. The period under review witnessed the release of Frontier's original title, Elite: Dangerous, on PlayStation 4; the news that Planet Coaster, its second title, had surpassed the sale of one million units; and the announcement that its third franchise will be Jurassic World Evolution, based on Universal Pictures' Jurassic World, one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history. The latter announcement is a major endorsement for a UK video games publisher and Frontier's appeal was recently recognised by Tencent, a leading Chinese internet and interactive entertainment company, which has acquired a 9.9% stake in the business through an investment of £17.7m in the company."

I couldn't authoritatively say how the block listing works. However, even if that was the case they would only account for 1.6% of the shares so wouldn't explain the size of the fall. I still think it is just people cashing out and it'll settle at a point (hopefully already reached) where all holders are settled for the longer term potential.
I don't think there is any particular news to cause the current drop - only news is a director buying - so I think it is just one or more people cashing in on the recent big rises. I've held for some time now, through the recent 1350p peak, and will continue to hold (if it wasn't such a large percentage of my portfolio I would buy more!). The long term potential for this share is enormous in my opinion.
Flight sims are perfect for VR headsets (lots of looking around, not so much moving) and Elite Dangerous was one of the main AAA Oculus supported games when it was released.
I don't think you'll see space-dock real advertising anytime soon. The community would NOT like that at all, considering that the galaxy time is year 3303 at the moment none of the adverts would be relevant to that time and would be immersion breaking (perhaps Coke maybe?!).
They do have a 10 year plan for ED and a annual subscription based model which seems to be doing quite well. They've also got other games, Planet Coaster and of course the newly announced Jurassic World IP. Link all these games together and suddenly you've got a massive sim, all powered by Frontier's own engine.
