Strange and rapid changes at the top of the BoD. Anyone knows why? I hope the new blood will be a lot more positive than the past administration that brought down the sp with unwise and gloomy past pronouncements.

Ban short selling by organized groups AND stricter controls on unjustified deramping!
We should bear in mind that most stocks are heavily traded on spikes, especially after a big retrace over many months. Investors are selling out at any chance they get, for fear of losing after waiting so long.
Ultimately, the sp drags on and on, or actually goes in reverse AND may take longer to achieve full potential(sp) as it is heavily traded off on the spikes. There is some evidence of shorters(traders) forming groups to deramp the sp down. They could easily be some of your 'regulars' on here ?
...What's going on ?
Many stocks have good fundamentals and bags of potential, yet they are going down, even on good news ........but i think something more sinister is going on, along with hundreds of other stocks? Ever wondered why your investment goes down, even on GOOD NEWS ?
# Thanks to all those that have supported this campaign #
UPdate - 3,539 voted. That's a lot of irate investors !
IT is estimated that over 90% of AIM stocks are INFECTED by short-sellers !
Many highly popular stocks are going down even on GOOD NEWS !
# IF you were a short-seller, BLUFFING, (basically manipulating a shares' price) about a company's overvalued share price, you might not want to *draw attention to yourself since you could get accused of stock manipulation. So you would hope (OR PLAN FOR) others to get involved and to present SEEMINGLY GOOD REASONS to short the stock.
You would want to put AS MUCH FEAR INTO 'LONGS' as possible and would use high volume short trading as well as buying to drive the share price down as low as you can and as long as you can. You really want the longs to fold and to get out of the game. If you are consistently seeing sellers overwhelming buyers driving a share price down as a stock seems to be going up, I can assure you it's probably shorts' selling, since longs are totally motivated to sell their shares at the highest possible selling price. #
Davide Serra, adviser to the Govt on banking has approached the FCA to ask for an investigation into shorting attacks on stocks. He holds a 2% stake in Quindell ?
# No one hears 'whispers'...it's just another ruse to get pi's to buy or sell ?
Watch out for the very 'nice' posters that are 'sympathetic' but constantly use phrases like "sorry to say"... "going down, i'm afraid"...."Oh dear".... "told you so" ... "placing on its way, more dilution"...."News on its way"....."there must be a leak, it's a duster"..."been in this for years and still losing money"....."the BoD stinks"....."whispers from the City".....
.....IF they're about it's a cert they'll panic out 'long holders'...?
."whispers from the City"...."take-over rumours" ...."Someone knows something, they always do?"
...."News of a JV imminent !"
This is well trodden pure ramping, to get investors to BUY !
RUINOUS to genuine investors.
They may be able to buy in cheap BUT what's the good, if the stock never really recovers?
AND when they have got you all hooked on the 'lovely' new all-time LOW.....They'll SHORT IT AGAIN !
Share price yesterday showed a welcome increase but the closing price was depressed 21p!!! Looks like an invite for buying big or could be the ground being prepared for an arranged buying of a big chunk? Does anyone know what is cooking?
Either way the opener today restores some confidence.

Ambiorix1 -Yes, I stand to be corrected, thanks.
Big lift in share price today, I sold in the afternoon
at around 440p,which is above my target price
of 420p and more than 50% up on 5th April price
of 284p. Now on the look-out for alternative/
replacement stock with equal good outlook.
Oeps, you must be wrong WS. Looks to me as being 0.9m less... On 10.04 they stated that group operations generated 13.6 m of cash and the closing cash was 20.5m.
This morning these numbers were adapted downwards to 12.7m and 19.6m...
Trading Update out today (see RNS) assures that EPS 26p as
forecast has been achieved. This confirms my view that the shares
are substantially undervalued. This view appears to be shared by
the two directors who topped up earlier this month.
I hold long term.
Winningstreak - I do not doubt anything you are saying, quite the opposite, I feel that of the sector IDH are well positioned to benefit when the economy eventually recovers, my two main concerns however, in the meantime when considering IDH as a potential investment operation are; 1) looking at the 2013 half year accounts the contraction in earnings is beginning to trend, last year was partly due to non-recurring items, however this year is purely operational. 2) Looking ahead, the Group's principal markets are the USA and Europe, given the sequestor cut's are now due to come into effect it may impair future revenue, from these markets at least.
I will definitely be keeping a tentative eye on here for sure.
Kingpin_z - If there were no competition the share price would be
£20 or more. As things stand, IDH is participating succesfully in a
market where endeavour and innovation are rewarded handsomely.
It is a growing market with plenty of scope for IDH to expand.
Much depends on how well the restructuring goes. The company have made it evident that competition is putting pressure on prices, thus reducing margins/profit. They did mention they are looking to address this during the stregic review by developing new assay products, this may take time and to get it to market. It is because of this that for the short to med term there may be some stagnation at around these levels, additional revenue stream coming online and new developments will help of course. Stago sounds promising but at around 3.5m + 1m Euros mentioned over the next couple of years, it equates to only around 10% of this years expected 50m revenue.
I would be surprised if it were to near or go sub 200p levels however, that being the case it would undermine the current managements restructuring process and would undoubtedly accelerate some kind of takeover,
Not a holder, but added to watch. New product development to keep ahead of competitors will be key.
At current share price (260p), IDH is on a PE-ratio of just 10,
which is unusually low for a company active in the medical/
health sector, especially when considering this company's
very robust cash-endowed balance sheet. In my view, the
shares deserve to trade on a PE-ratio in the region of 14 to
Just looks as a business agreement to me, nothing more.
IDS is slowly absorbed by the Forum group and all I can see is perhaps a merger with PULSION Medical systems AG.
Look at these shareholder numbers:
Shareholders PULSION :
Forum European Smallcaps Gmbh 52.12%
Axxion SA 4.10%
BNY Mellon Service Kapital 3.50%
Forum Ventrure Capital 24.47%
Axxion SA 5.05%
BNY Mellon 9.86%
Forum European Smallcaps 3.47%
Obvious or not. Dr. Wittek is holding the strings and I don't see him selling his business to the French.
How has this managed to go so wrong? I looked at this stock somewhere around two years ago, and nearly bought, but the price raced away while I was still thinking about it. Now when I look again the shares have crashed back to an even lower price, and the earnings have collapsed.
Is it just with market share in Vitamin D assays being lost, or is there a larger issue here about their technology not being unique enough to keep them ahead of the larger suppliers.
Sorry if this is a slightly "newbie" question - I am just trying to get refocused on whether there is still an investment case here.
Ambiorix1 - Good research and an interesting scenario.
However, my guess is that a takeover bid will come from
a competing company operating in the same field as IDH.
IDH, at current share price (310p), is a sitting duck, no
doubt in my mind about that.
You just might be right Winningstreak. Over the last few days there were some strange movements concerning institutional holdings of IDH. Strange enough for me to jump in again (I completely sold out when the SP was above 10£). On the 7th the of December Bank of New York (a branch of) bought and sold on the same day about 430.000 shares. A day later there there was a RNS from Axxion SA that it bought the same amount of shares. So it looks obvious that BNY made a trade on behalf of Axxion. My question was then: who is Axxion? I asked Google and found interesting links. Among other funds Axxion runs the Absolutissimo Fund. One of the principal holdings of this fund is IDH. But the most principal holding of this fund is Pulsion Medical System AG. And who is the principal shareholder of Pulsion Medical Systems? Bingo Forum Capital, the main shareholder of IDH. So it looks to me that Forum Capital is silently mopping up the shares that are not in institutional hands (about 20%). To make sure not to make to much noise about it, the IDH shares are mopped up by funds or trusts with a friendly link with Forum Capital. I would not be surprised if in the near future IDH is absorbed by Pulsion Medical systems. Tell me what you think about this scenario.
IDH has cash in the bank and generates further
net cash to the tune of £0.5m - £1m per month. For any
other Company operating in the same field IDH must look
like a very juicy bite. IDH's lucrative income-streams from
the many placed installlations can be fully maintained
whilst overheads can be near fully absorbed.
In my view, should the share price not rise much above
current level (310-320p) in the short term, then a takeover
bid is likely.
Let's see if I am right on this one in 6-12 months from
Reilly - Good to hear from you. As for your tip on gold - not my scene..
I have seen gold coming down big style once or twice in my lifetime.
Hold a well diversified portfolio, with emphasis on 'recession-resistant'
stocks, like GSK for example. For racey ones. I have recently put
decent wagers on Gable Holdings (GAH) and DotDigital (DOTD). Both
up a good bit already.
IDH is sorting itself out, should come right in the not too distant future.
Also there is a good chance of a takeover bid, IMO. Cash-pile growing,
potentially high EPS, whilst share price in de doldrums. The right
ingredients to attract predators.
ws - well the market wasnt over the moon about todays RNS. It might be that there is more interest on gold at the moment. Skimming through the statement I picked up a note of eqivocation underneath the attempts to be positive, so meybe 'good enough' wasnt enough. That 200 day moving average is quite a way higher around 450p. At least the 50 day MA looks ready to flatten.
I hope it goes well anyway, and that you have some expossure to gold currently. ATB - AR
Today's trading updaste (see RNS) sounds good enough
to me. Company is not heading for the wall (as the earlier
dramatic falls in the share price would suggest), but operates
satisfactory, generating substantial rise in net cash - to the
tune of £0.8m per month (average for the 5-month period
ws - I wasnt suggesting there was any acrimony, but its interesting hes going, which I see as positive. The new CEO will want to have his own choice of team as far as he can, and the FD is clearly very important. Hope all goes well - AR
FD does not leave abrubtly but stays on for up to six months to ensure
a smooth transfer. Therefore his departure can hardly be consaidered
acrimonious or ominous. Perhpas he has been head-hunted for a bigger
Can some please tell me when L&G Richard Penny bought Immunodiagnostic? It is the top holding in his fund at 5.1% - johandesilva
Not sure Richard Penny's fund does hold any material amount in IDH; 5.1% of his fund would equate to about 10% of IDH and their web-site shows no mention of L&G:
Can some please tell me when L&G Richard Penny bought Immunodiagnostic? It is the top holding in his fund at 5.1%
Immunodiagnostic Systems Hol 5.1%
Stanley Gibbons Group (The) Ltd 4.2%
Cape PLC 4.1%
BP PLC 4.1%
BG Group PLC 4.0%
Coal Of Africa Limited 4.0%
Endace Ltd 3.9%
Phoenix IT Group PLC 3.9%
Resolution Ltd 3.8%
OPG Power Ventures PLC 3.6%
ws - well the SP found support at 238 in June on an intraday fall. The SP has lost nearly 80% in a year, and another trip to 238p could be on the cards again, if only intraday. Clearly there were splits in the board about how to restor the SP and confidence, and I did suggest as much when the CEO left with no notice, and not even the most perfunctory words of thanks.
The appointment of the new CEO is interesting, and I should imagine results will be disappointing, which was probably another factor in the outgoing CEOs resignation. In the RNS today the key statement re the new CEO seems to me to be: "At Dako, Patrik conducted a significant strategic repositioning of the company.............."
When results are announced, he will be able to 'kitchen sink' the ex CEO, ie blame him for all the companys woes, falling SP etc, and make a big play of making a statement about 'repositioning' IDH on an exciting new startegy for growth. This could well see a bit of a bounce as hope returns - how long it will last is open to speculation of course, and dependent on how soon IDH responds, and markets of course. It could be a slowish recovery, after an initial burst of hope, especiall as it was a former star performer. ATB - AR
PS - I should say I know almost nothing about the fundamentals, so I approach it very much from the TA side, but thats one hell of a rise and fall!
