	Probably will go ex-div and drop a few cents (4?). I think rise has been more about people moving into higher yield stocks in anticipation cyclicals will start to bottom out. (mind you I sold Rio the day before it went up 5% ... but still did alright over 3 weeks). Hansen transmissions (HSN) is a good deal right now, it retraced to 124 from 140 but its headed back. 	That would be good Cant really tell to be honest. No major trades going through all less than 10,000 so far. seems to be following a similar pattern to yesterday. 	Good to see that the 10 Day, and 20 Day channels have been breached today ! Top of 10 day and 20 Day is 340, Which have been broken ! Will be interesting to see if it can hold above 340 for a while and then push on to the 50 day channel of 348 ! 	LONDON, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Britain's No. 3 grocer J Sainsbury has received no indication that its biggest investor, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), might relaunch a takeover bid after a failed attempt in 2007, it new chairman said. David Tyler, chairman since the start of the month, told reporters he had met QIA and, although he could not speak for them or their long-term aims, there was "no suggestion whatseover" their attitude had changed from that of the last 12 to 18 months, during which they had been a supportive long term shareholder. Shares in Sainsbury rose sharply last month after Qatar sold a 1.4 billion pounds ($2.3 billion) stake in Barclays, on the view it could invest a big profit to make another move on the retailer, in which it holds a 26 percent stake. Shares in Sainsbury, which earlier reported first-half results, were up 3.4 percent at 338.7 pence at 1403 GMT. 	Ha Ha. Trouble is there is 10 letters there only allowed 9, hence my misspelling (This is probably wrong as well). Never could spell that darned word and have got English Lit, Lang O level and A level English. Grammar school education tuh should have failed my 11 plus and gone to comp. 	Supermarket group Sainsbury’s has unveiled a leap in interim profits and said customer numbers have surged,highlighting how effectively it has responded to tough retail conditions. However the grocer also cautioned that grocers’ pace of grow is likely to slow as food price inflation falls. The retailer notched up an 18.5% increase in underlying pre-tax profits to £307m in the 28 weeks to October 3, when turnover rose 3.7% to £11.16bn. Like-for-likes, excluding fuel, advanced 5.7%. Chief executive Justin King said that weekly customer transactions now stand at 18.5m, up by 800,000 on last year, and the grocer is well placed following its £432m fundraising in June to speed up growth plans. The retailer reported that non-food sales — a strategic priority — were growing at 2.5 times the rate of food. Online food sales rose by 20% and an etail food offer was launched in July. King said: “As we enter the second half we expect the economic environment to remain challenging and market growth to slow due to reduced price inflation. “We remain confident that our universal customer appeal means we are well positioned to perform in this environment. 	I said on 14/10 profit up 10-12%. very pleased with 18%. As said its alright going for sales, but not at all costs.This has proved my point. Definatly banked half yr results as second half will be tough with margins DEFINATLY squeezed at cructial time. In some ways you can see how desperate Tesco and Morrisons are by launching Xmas adds on 1/11, wereas Sainsburys and Asda have held off until after 11/11 which is customary in the supermarket business as a mark of respect for our brave lads and lasses. Using valuable advertising to offer Non descript lines Xmas lines when punters know when Xmas is, is a bit pointless. WOW Morrisons sell Turkeys I never!!!!!! It will be a tough yr ahead but I think JS will have banked enough in the first half to pull some big levers when they need too.
