I assume the exclusive sports nutrition agreements are for marketing purposes rather than profitable in themselves and whilst this would seem to be good news, it would be good to know exactly how the company will benefit and whether its name will appear on any football club merchandise. Having spoken to a one time semi-professional footballer who knows other professional footballers, it appears that the SIS name is already fairly well known within the professional game. If SIS can add to its sales in the huge leisure and amateur footballer market then I am sure that sponsoring some sports nutrition activity at professional clubs will be worthwhile if it further raises awareness of the brand.
The SIS home page (www.scienceinsport.com) is promoting the SiS GO Energy Bar Bundle - 8 bars at £11 a pop.
There is an offer on 3 bundles for £20. This leads to the situation that if the shopping cart contains 2 bundles the total is £22. Add a third bundle and the total drops by £2. in other words SIS is paying out £2 for the extra bundle.

The point about the bottom line is why I think we will have a retracement at some stage. Growing turnover is great, but in due course they have to translate that into profits and given that isn't mentioned in the most recent statement my guess is that they are still anticipating being loss-mmaking in the coming year.
On checking that slice was my lot... so I'm out .
After my sale i read Gary Neary ( SP ) @ 1pm posted not a buyer until more clarity bottom line.
My last slice in the summer was a mistake in hindsight .
Its up this morning but i didn't have many left.
Not sure anyone should be surprised by today';s statement so I'm a bit surprised how well the market has reacted. Having topped up my holding in the low 60's in October I have traded those out again this morning at just under 75.
Happy that the long term prospects here are very sound, but I suspect we wont hold on to this gain. Early stage stories like this typically have a saw-tooth share price profile and I will be looking to add again on the next setback.
It would seem a good time to be doing everything to increase our overseas earnings at this time.
I am not sure how much, if any, of the ingredients are sourced from outside the UK and how this will effect our competitiveness.
"With another successful Olympic in the bag for Team GB, there's no doubt being fit is fashionable - just look at the rush of new gym classes and 'fitspo' Instagram posts. Behind every professional ultra-marathoner, cyclist, tennis star and ..."
Nice to see Jordan Henderson having a SIS gel before he came on as sub in the England v Turkey friendly last night. Lets hope we see more of that free advertising in the summer at the European Championship while millions across Europe and beyond are watching.
I can only notice that Science in Sport is visible on the bidons (drinks bottles) , still Sky off to winning ways in the new season so lets hope SiS can get some good publicity out of the relationship - I am a bit disappointed there is no jersey logo though....
Noting the proceeds now made available through the placing, does anyone have a feel for the above...? Strikes me that we are in a pretty healthy position going forward and with enormous potential in the new markets.
