Just moving about in small amounts, but nothing spectacular.
I am impressed with the lack of news leaking out, despite Dan's note this morning - maybe he off-loaded before he tweeted his early leaked news of the placing, and bought them back at almost half price a short while later - maybe he tried to drive the price up this morning to do it again with a chunk of holding (just in case).
Obviously like all the long term holders, I am hoping for good news.
I am happy that they are still there and hope like hell that when the RNS comes out, it does not prove to be that they were only there longer simply because they had to plug the hole and abandon it (no idea how long this takes) - we deserve a change in fortune.
Good Luck Charioteers - not quite as bad as waiting for the next World Cup win, only circa 8 or 9 years for me, but who knows, 2 birds killed in the same year!!!!!
The problem arises because the trade is compared to a mid price.
HL will compare it to their own mid price but the trade might have been done with someone else, who had a completely different one.
At one stage HL were quoting 12.10 and 12.45 for the Sell or Buy.
Elsewhere it was easy to deal at 12.16 ish and 12.28 ish.
At the moment there is no selling/buying pressure despite what looks like a skewed tendency towards selling. The market as a whole is absorbing them and is happily existing in a metastable equilibrium.
well the constant sells would make nervous investors sell out and thats the aim or its people losing there placing shares or positions are too big with the risk . But still not the volume and whos buying them .
There seem to be a lot of sells today, slipping in under the mid-point. There also seems to be a fairly consistent 100,000 seller. I'd feel more comfortable if this would stop. Otherwise all other indicators seem to be quite good....lots of activity around the vessel, the longer it takes the better etc...
Lots of speculation over at LSE.
Reality is we do not know anything for certain.
The critical factor here is does the top seal work.
If it did not we would probably have plugged and abandoned by now.
Highly likely there is a source given the pock marks on the seabed and the coring which found oil.
So then the question is what is the quality of the carbonate reservoirs. That takes time and lots of samples to be taken.
All speculation of course, here is hoping.
Big days for LB....in 2015 he had a LT share award of 411,011 shares at nil cost. Are these still live? If so, as these are available for him to see as from 1st Jan this year I guess this is his first chance to really take some cash out if things go well. There were later awards but they are not vested until the future.
Happy to hear if this has changed.
Are you linking the 102k sale to a 200 share buy??? There was another 200 but earlier in the day and then a big series of sells. Really???
What I dont get is that if the story is that good - who is willing to sell?
On another note, I totally see there would be logic in the no news is good news theory. If there was nothing to analyse (no oil, no hint of oil, no hint oil was ever even here) then there would be nothing to analyse. So, I suppose a delay could be to assess how much oil there is. Is this the thinking??
I could do with some good luck here. Find of the year would suit me well. Find of the decade even more.
With todays advances in telecoms and social media, I'm really impressed how tight the ENI operation is. Looking at the volume, not a peep seems to have got out yet. The LSE site appears to be down at the moment. Is anyone else have problems opening up the chat page?
