Chariot Oil & Gas Limited ("Chariot", the "Company" or the "Group") Licence extension agreed for blocks Loukos and Casablanca/Safi, offshore Morocco
Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (AIM: CHAR), the Atlantic margins focused oil and gas exploration company, today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Chariot Oil & Gas Investments (Morocco) Limited, has agreed with the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines ("ONHYM") a six month extension for the first phase of exploration on its Loukos, Casablanca and Safi licences, offshore Morocco, which will be valid until 11 January, 2014. The award of this extension remains subject to the final approval of the Moroccan Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Ministry of Finance.
In order to ensure that the Company has time to gain the best possible description of its licences prior to moving into the next phase of exploration, Chariot is reprocessing and interpreting 11,000km of 2D seismic data across all of its acreage offshore Morocco. Both the total amount of this work and the portion of it attributable to the Loukos, Casablanca and Safi licences exceeds the initial commitment within these licence areas during this phase. Whilst the Company's Rabat Deep licence has an initial exploration period of three years, the Loukos, Casablanca and Safi licences were transferred to the Company, as detailed in October last year, with six months left in the initial phase. As a result, Chariot (75%) and its partner ONHYM (25%) will enter into the extension on these licences to allow adequate time to undertake this work and optimise the understanding of the acreage. Once complete, this will enable Chariot to determine the next steps on these licences.
Larry Bottomley, CEO commented:
"We would like to thank ONHYM and the Ministry for their continued support and look forward to progressing these assets."

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited ("Chariot", the "Company" or the "Group") Licence Extension awarded to partnership in Southern Block 2714A, Namibia
Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (AIM: CHAR), the Atlantic Margins focused oil and gas exploration company, confirms that the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia has approved a one year extension to the First Renewal Period for Block 2714A, held in partnership with Petrobras Oil & Gas B.V.(30%) (Operator), BP (45%) and Chariot's wholly owned subsidiary Enigma Oil and Gas (PTY) Ltd. (25%). The extension period will commence on 31 August 2013. The extension of this First Renewal Phase will allow the partnership to complete its analysis of the drilling results of the Kabeljou-1 exploration well in order to progress the description of the rest of the prospectivity in the licence, allowing the partnership to take an informed decision on its forward plan for the block and its commitments for the next phase of development. The extension will also enable Chariot to evaluate and incorporate results from a third party well that is anticipated to take place in close proximity in Q3 2013.

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited ("Chariot", the "Company" or the "Group") Central Blocks - First Renewal Phase Extension
Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (AIM: CHAR), the Atlantic margins focused oil and gas exploration company, today announces that the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Namibia has granted a one year extension for the First Renewal Phase on the Central Area Blocks, (Licence 19, covering Blocks 2312 A & B and Northern halves of 2412 A & B), offshore Namibia. These licences are operated by Chariot's wholly owned subsidiary, Enigma Oil & Gas Exploration (Pty) Limited, which holds 90% equity and is partnered with AziNam Ltd. which holds the remaining 10% equity. This extension means that the current phase will now run to 31 August 2014.
Chariot has identified prospects within both the shallower and deeper petroleum systems and will be looking to open a data room on the Central Area during Q3 this year. There will be a focus on the shallower petroleum system, which contains attribute-supported prospects but recent third party results have de-risked the deeper petroleum system and the prospect portfolio identified here.
This recent drilling of the Wingat-1 well was undertaken in the Walvis Basin, approximately 70km from Chariot's Blocks, and the results have been encouraging for their prospectivity. The well reportedly encountered two oil generating source rocks and samples recovered good quality, light oil. Further third party drilling in the region, to be undertaken in the near future, will also help inform Chariot's prospect selection and the Company will look to secure a partner with the aim of drilling a well in 2014 on completion of the farm-out process.
Larry Bottomley, CEO commented:
"I would like to thank the Ministry for granting us this licence extension. This will enable us to integrate our data with the information resulting from this third party activity as we seek to select the best prospects for drilling and subsequently partner with the optimum information to hand."

a very interesting story on how statoil has found oil off of newfoundland. change the country to namibia, chariot for statoil and substitute tapir or nimrod for the field and how far would you be from the 'truth'? how many variables would you need to change in the newfoundland story to put a spin on the namibia story, if any
http://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/127171/Statoil_Strikes_Oil_Offshore_Newfoundland what are the reason for not fully disclosing data on any of the three wells? ...and those 300 million unaccounted shares that bombed the price with not one significant rns....mmm. you have to laugh at who is kidding who.
