MUMBAI, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Indian drugmaker Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd <REDY.BO> <RDY.N> has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for trandolapril tablets, the regulator's website showed.

The drug is a generic version of Abbott Laboratories' <ABT.N> Mavik tablets, indicated in the treatment of hypertension.
