LONDON (Thomson Financial) - New Britain Palm Oil Ltd. (NBPOL) said it received 92.9 percent acceptances in respect of its offer for Ramu Agri Industries Ltd.

"This now allows the company to achieve 100 percent control of Ramu through the compulsory acquisition of the remaining Ramu shares which did not accept the offer," said Nick Thompson, NBPOL's chief executive officer.

NBPOL said Ramu's board of directors would resign today and be replaced by members of NBPOL's directors including Nick Thompson and David Dann, who is chief financial officer. tfn.newsdesk@thomson.com alo/ak
