Kazakh KazMunaiGas unit raises $2.5 bln 3-yr loan

ALMATY, Sept 18 (Reuters) - KazMunaiGas PKOP, a unit of Kazakh state energy firm KazMunaiGas, has raised a $2.5 billion syndicated loan to refinance its purchase of Romania's refiner Rompetrol Group, KazMunaiGas said in a statement.
The loan was raised at LIBOR plus 155 basis points.
"The aim of the loan... is to refinance a bridge loan of $3.1 billion taken earlier to purchase a 75 percent stake in Rompetrol Group," the statement said.
The facility was organised by the Royal Bank of Scotland, The Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi UFJ, Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse International, Deutsche Bank AG, Societe Generale, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp and WestLB AG, London Branch. Keywords: KAZMUNAIGAS/LOAN
