LONDON, Oct 31 (Reuters) - European stock index futures drifted lower on Friday, indicating a weaker start at the open after closing higher in the previous session.
Futures for the DJ Euro Stoxx 50, Germany's DAX and France's CAC 40 were down between 0.7-1 percent.
Earlier, financial bookmakers had called European shares to open higher, but Japan's Nikkei average closed 5 percent lower despite a rate cut by the Bank of Japan.
