REYKJAVIK, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said on Monday the Norwegian government would provide crisis-hit Iceland with a loan and that it was imperative to stabilise the Icelandic crown.
"We want to show our support for the international initiative and we will be providing support to Iceland in the near future," Stoere told journalists after a meeting with Icelandic Prime Minister Geir Haarde.
He added that it was "essential" for Iceland to stabilise the country's currency. Keywords: ICELAND/NORWAY
