GREECE SAYS COULD PRESS BANKS TO JOIN RESCUE DEAL
The Greek government said on Wednesday it could press banks to take part in a 28 billion euro bailout after reticence from major lenders, in what economists said was a political bid to bolster the flagging economy.
MYTILINEOS 9-MTH NET PROFIT FALLS 92 PCT
Greek metals and engineering group Mytilineos said on Wednesday nine-month profit dropped 92 percent, hurt by the rising cost of oil and a strong euro, but its Metka construction unit continued to grow.
EMPORIKI BANK POSTS 9M LOSS ON ECONOMIC CRUNCH
Emporiki Bank, majority owned by France's Credit Agricole, posted a nine-month loss of 121.3 million euros on Wednesday, hurt by the global financial crisis and a one-off tax burden.
OPAP EXPECTED TO ADD OLYMPIAKOS TO STIHIMA COUPON
OPAP is expected to include Olympiakos FC in the coupon of its fixed-odds sport betting game Stihima as of Nov 6, financial daily Naftemporiki reported, in a move seen to boost the betting company's revenues by 100 million euros for the whole football season.

GREECE COMPLETES OTE STAKE SALE TO D. TELEKOM
Greece on Wednesday transferred a 3 percent stake in the country's largest telecom OTE to Germany's Deutsche Telekom, ending the state's long quest to secure a strategic partner for the operator.
GREEK PIRAEUS TO BUY 31 PCT OF PROTON BANK
Piraeus Bank, Greece's fourth-largest lender, agreed on Wednesday to buy 31.3 percent of small rival Proton Bank via a share swap, at a cheaper price than in a previous agreement cancelled last month.
AB VASSILOPOULOS 9-MONTH PROFIT DROPS 25.5 PCT
Greek supermarket chain Alfa-Beta Vassilopoulos, majority owned by Belgian Delhaize, reported on Wednesday a 25.5 percent drop in 9-month net profit on higher operating costs.
GREECE LISTS FIRMS INTERESTED IN OLYMPIC GROUP
Greece on Wednesday said Qatar Airways, Iberia, Chrysler Aviation, SkyOne and Swissport were among companies that expressed interest in the sale of Greece's state-run Olympic Airlines groups.
GREEK OCT INFLATION MAY FALL BELOW 4%-FIN.MINISTER
Greece's October consumer price inflation may fall below 4 percent, for the first time since January, Finance Minister George Alogoskoufis said on Wednesday.
