April 15 (Reuters) - British storage firm Lok'n Store Group Plc said on Wednesday it received an early-stage expression of interest from a third party and that the talks were at a "very preliminary stage".
There was no certainty that an offer would be forthcoming, the company said in a statement.
Lok'n Store also urged its shareholders not to take any action at this stage.
In November last year, the company had said it slipped to a full-year pretax loss and expected trading conditions to remain challenging.
Lok'n Store shares, which have gained more than 40 percent over the past one month, were up 26 percent at 67.5 pence on the London Stock Exchange at 1158 GMT. They touched a trading high of 70 pence.
