FRANKFURT, May 29 (Reuters) - German holding company Vivacon said on Friday it had immediate liquidity needs and was trying to extend credit agreements amid short-term fundraising that include asset sales.
"Against the background of the ongoing capital market crisis and the difficult market environment, Vivacon is in an acute liquidity crisis," the company said in a statement.
Vivacon was in talks with creditors about financing for its real estate portfolio. It was also cutting the size of its board and said it would no longer publish quarterly reports.
The company said it was applying to be traded under the General Standard, a less rigorous category, from its present position of Prime Standard on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
