ALPHA BANK PRICED 750 MLN EURO BOND


Alpha Bank priced a 750-million-euro bond, maturing in 2012, at mid-swaps plus 190 basis points, equivalent to 220.4 bp over the 4.25 pct Oct 2012 OBL.

EU LAW MAY ALLOW BANS ON FOREIGN BET WEBSITES-COURT


The 2.5 billion euro online betting industry suffered a setback on Tuesday as the European Union said that a member state could be allowed to ban gambling websites if its intention was to stop crime.
Greek OPAP's CEO Christos Hadjiemmanouil said in a statement the EU court's decision was very positive for the betting company.

GREEK TOURIST ARRIVALS DOWN 9 PCT Y/Y IN AUGUST-ITEP


Tourist arrivals in Greece fell 9 percent year-on-year in August, the most important month for the crisis-hit sector, a tourism body said on Tuesday, forecasting further bleak results in September.

PIRAEUS BANK SAYS NO PLANS FOR CAPITAL INCREASE


Piraeus Bank does not plan a share capital increase, the bank's deputy general manager Christodoulos Athanasiadis was quoted as saying to reporters in Thessaloniki, according to financial daily Imerisia.

HELLENIC PETROL TO INVEST 100 MLN EURO ABROAD IN 2009-10

Hellenic Petroleum (HELPE) plans to invest more than 100 million euros in its foreign retail and wholesale activities in 2009-2010, the company's head of international activities was quoted as saying to reporters in Thessaloniki, according to financial daily Imerisia.
PPC PUTS OFF LARCO, DEPA DECISIONS TILL AFTER POLLS
Public Power Corp.'s board decided to postpone any decisions on the sale of a stake in nickel producer Larco and an option to acquire a stake in natural gas monopoly DEPA until after the elections, financial daily To Vima reported.

GREECE REPORTEDLY TO ISSUE 3.5 BLN EURO OF T-BILLS
Greece will issue 3.5-billion-euros of 3-, 6- and 12-month T-bills in early October to refinance existing bills that mature next month, financial daily Naftemporiki reported.

STATISTICS SERVICE TO REPORT JULY INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT


Greece's national statistics service (NSS) will report industrial output data for July. In June, industrial output fell 11.4 percent year-on-year.

GREEK SOCIALISTS MAINTAIN LEAD BEFORE VOTE-POLLS


Greece's opposition socialists are maintaining their lead over the conservative government before a snap election on Oct. 4, opinion polls showed on Tuesday.

EUROPEAN STOCK INDEX FUTURES POINT LOWER


European shares were set to open lower on Wednesday, snapping three days of gains, tracking falls in the Asian markets as investors pause for breath.
