Worth market. The acquisition, which is expected to close on Wednesday, will add revenue of $2.5 million to $3 million annually and earnings before income tax, depreciation and amortization in the range of $800,000 to $1 million, the company said. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 1.3 percent to 9,789.74 while the S&P 500 gained 1.6 percent to 1,060.90 and the Nasdaq was up 2 percent to 2,132.35. CF, which has launched an unsolicited effort to take over Terra, said it purchased 6.99 million shares in the open market over the past two weeks for $247 million. For details, see Shares of CF rose 1.2 percent to $85.31 while Terra gained 3.1 percent to $36.28. The dealings on the LSE are likely to become effective from 0700 GMT on Oct. 1, this year, following approval from the British Financial Services Authority and the London Stock Exchange, Virgin Media said. The companies expect the transaction to close within the next few days, following FTC acceptance of a consent decree agreed to by K+S, which will become the largest salt producer in the world as a result of the deal.
