BANGKOK, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Siam Cement, Thailand's largest industrial conglomerate, said on Wednesday a new olefins plant would be affected by a court order to several firms to suspend operations at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.
"The primary impact to the company will be on the wholly owned subsidiary, SCG Chemicals," Siam Cement said in a statement.
SCG Chemicals is in the process of completing the construction of its upstream naphtha cracker and related downstream businesses, originally expected to start operations between late 2009 and the middle of 2011.
