GREEK MANUFACTURING BACK IN DECLINE MODE IN SEPT


Business conditions in Greece's manufacturing sector worsened in September after a respite in August, with the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) falling to 48.5 points from 51.1 in August, a survey showed on Thursday.


IMF REVISES UP GREEK GDP FORECAST TO -0.8% IN 2009
The IMF upwardly revised its GDP forecast for Greece this year but still expected the country's economy to contract.

EUROBANK COMPLETES 250 MLN EURO EXCHANGEABLE BOND ISSUE


Eurobank completed the issue of 250-million-euros of exchangeable securities due 2014. The exchange price has been set at 14.339 euros per share and the cash coupon at 1.7 percent per annum.

FORTHNET FILED NON-BINDING OFFER TO RESTRUCTURE WIND HELLAS DEBT


Forthnet has submitted a non-binding offer to participate in the restructuring of mobile operator Wind Hellas debt, financial daily Kathimerini reported citing unnamed Forthnet officials. The deadline for the sumbission of non-binding offers expires on Oct 2, the paper added.

MIG TO SET UP NEW AIR CARRIER


Marfin Investment Group said it plans to set up a new carrier under the name Macedonian Airlines that will fly to destinations not included in the route network of Oympic Air, financial daily Imerisia reported.

CEZ TO QUIT KOSOVO TENDER UNLESS TERMS IMPROVED


Czech power group CEZ will pull out of a tender to build a 2,000 megawatt coal-fired power plant in Kosovo unless the government sweetens the deal, a company official said on Thursday. Italy's Enel and Greece's Public Power Corp Sencap and another group including CEZ and AES of the United States are still running in the tender.

EUROPEAN STOCK INDEX FUTURES POINT TO WEAKER START


European stock index futures pointed to a fall in equities on Friday, with investors awaiting U.S. non-farm payrolls data later in the session for near-term market direction.

PAPANDREOU WOOS UNDECIDED GREEKS AHEAD OF VOTE


Greek opposition socialist leader George Papandreou tried to sway undecided voters in a major campaign rally ahead of an election on Sunday, promising to bring jobs and trust back to the crisis-hit country.
