HANOVER, Germany, Oct 9 (Reuters) - German automotive supplier Continental AG is set to name the finance chief of Behr as its new chief financial officer on Oct. 19, several sources close to the matter told Reuters on Friday.
Wolfgang Schaefer, chief financial officer at German motor-cooling and air conditioning specialist Behr, is poised to get the CFO job at Continental's next supervisory board meeting, the sources said on Friday.
Continental and Behr declined to comment prospects for Schaefer, a former Bosch executive, to join.
The sources said Continental could also name an executive from U.S. supplier Delphi to head its powertrain business.
A Delhi spokesman in the United States denied that the executive may be Ronald Pirtle, who is president of Delphi Powertrain Systems.
Pirtle will remain vice president of powertrain systems and president of Delphi Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, the spokesman said.
The appointment of two new executives would fill long vacancies and complete the management team at Continental.
A new chairman is to be elected as well on Oct. 19. Wolfgang Reitzle, chief executive of industrial gas company Linde , was picked last month to get the post after management upheaval this year.
Continental's main shareholder, Schaeffler, claimed the scalp of the auto supplier's CEO in August and in exchange Schaeffler-backed Chairman Rolf Koerfer agreed to step down.
