NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - U.S. consulting firm Resources Connection Inc said it is buying and combining the high profile public relations firm Sitrick and Co and restructuring firm Brincko Associates to create a subsidiary that will be headed by famed crisis manager Michael Sitrick.
Sitrick has represented celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Kim Basinger, as well as companies that have been through Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings such as Asarco, according to its web site. The subsidiary will be called Sitrick Brincko Group LLC.
Resources, which was spun off from accounting firm Deloitte & Touche and went public in 2000, will make an initial payment of $43.3 million in cash and stock, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The firms had a combined revenue of $24.4 million in 2008, according to a Resources Connection statement.
