Moody's raises Hong Kong rating outlook to positive
Article layout: raw

HONG KONG, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Moody's Investors Service raised the outlook on Hong Kong's Aa2 rating to positive from stable on Monday following a similar rating outlook revision for China.
Earlier, Moody's upped China's rating outlook praising its economic performance in the past year during the global financial crisis.
"While Hong Kong's rating is separate from that of China, it is linked, and the residual China effect constrains Hong Kong's intrinsic upward rating potential," said Steven Hess, Moody's lead analyst for Hong Kong in a statement.
