TORONTO, Nov 9 (Reuters) - The world economy is stabilizing but faces the challenge of moving from a recovery driven by government policy to one that is self-sustaining, the head of the OECD said on Monday. "After two years of bad news, and trillions of dollars of losses, the global economy is now stabilizing. The great challenge is to move from a policy-based recovery to self-sustained growth," Angel Gurria, secretary-general of the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, said in the prepared text of speech.
Gurria was speaking at a conference in Toronto.
