BANGALORE, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Mid-sized Indian IT services provider MphasiS Ltd reported a 34 percent rise in its quarterly net profit helped by new outsourcing contracts won mainly due to its partnership with Hewlett-Packard Co.
The company, 61 percent owned by Hewlett-Packard, said on Tuesday net profit in the quarter ended October rose to 2.45 billion rupees ($53 million) from 1.83 billion a year ago.
Last November, MphasiS changed its financial year from April-March to November-October to align with Hewlett-Packard.

The firm, based in the southern Indian Bangalore city, said it added 16 new clients in the October quarter, 13 of which came through the Hewlett-Packard channel.
